((Twenty years from now I guess))
"Very well Klassic, you're forces will be posted in Western part of the city in case all goes wrong," Eliza said.

"Very well my lady, it will not fall." With that Klassic began to turn and head back down into the open square. He had much preperation to do, he troops needed to know what they were up against, and what the objective was, however on the way down, Klassic placed his hand on the wall to steady himself, and in doing so he saw a past burried within it, he had been here before, could see himself in the brick, it was a time before the mask, before the chemicals and ratiation had twisted his form. Had Klassic been a religious man, he might have taken it for a sign, however Klassic did not beleive in such superstitions, he made his own path.
At the base of the stair well Klassic was met by his two leutenants, whom he briefed on the mision objectives as the three of them stode towards his camp.

((I'm taking that as a yes. Tell me if you meant no and I'll delete my post.))
A woman strode into the room, in all appearances being young, but her eyes were hard and had seen much. "All is going wrong," she said bluntly in response to Eliza's statement. "Alpha was just attacked, mostly by ambush. And curse me for not sensing it beforehand!" she swore and her eyes flashed with anger, but taking a deep breath, she continued. "I don't know if anyone survived. There is too much blood to smell anything but that." X23 bowed her head, and stepped back to let Eliza think.
As for X23 herself, there was not a scratch on her, but that was the way of things. Her toned body looked young and healthy while it had been in multiple fights. She wore a dirty-gray camo outfit of coarse canvas, now bloodstained and covered in concrete dust from fallen buildings. Her hair was still long and brown, her eyes a liquid green, but now even more death, destruction, and anger were packed behind them. In the long years another side of her had been exposed, but it was still rare, and still hidden. A side that actually cared.
Because of her hatred for being controlled, she had joined the side that represented freedom, the side with less a chance of surviving. Serving Apocolypse in an honored position was still being one of his slaves. Serving these people... she knew she was free.

"Damn," Eliza cursed again sitting up in her seat, and looked at her fellow healer, was it just her or did they seem to suffer the most in this war? "Iris did you find a doorway that would help us?" Eliza asked standing up and pacing again.
"I did, but it will take most of my energy to open it, it's just what you wanted a world of nothing, everything died a few centuries ago so if Apocolypse is sucked in he has nowhere to go," Iris said her purple eyes narrowing.
Eliza shivered she had always hated fighting hand to hand with Apocalypse, something about his power drew her to him but also repelled her. Thank God the latter had kept her strong to continue the fight, "X-23, you will help Iris and Hannah in the front line, that is if you up to it?"

"I will go," X23 said, nodding her head. She didn't understand the different worlds, but if fighting would help, she could do that. She was very resilient, but even if it killed her, she would help defeat Apocolypse, if such a thing were possible.

Klassic glanced backwards up at the comand bunker once more, more out of habit than actually wanting to see anything. He saw x-23 up in the bunker, Klassic knew it couldn't be good.
The years had been hard, Raphael had died long ago in defese of many of the mutants here to day, he had mrtyred himself in a last ditch effort to save a few more, Klassic had respected the man for it. He signaled his leiutenants to go adress his force while he wandered over to the gate, when did alpha get back in," he asked of the guard, to which was replied, "they didn't"
Klassic sighed heavily, this had alread been a long day, and it was only going to get longer

Hannah glanced over at Klassic and X23, her eyes conveying absolutely no emotion whatsoever, despite her reluctantance to work with...others. It was just in her nature to work solo, but if the Queen wanted her to work with them...

"I know that it's not really your style, but this is the one chance we have to win the war," Eliza said gently to Hannah, "You know and I know that we're loosing and the last thing we want if for Apocalypse to take over what we've managed to build."

"Of course." She inclined her head slightly to the queen, still not exactly thrilled. Hannah looked over at the two who would be assisting her on the front line of the battle. X23, whom she actually had a large amount of respect for, and Iris, someone she often butted heads with.

Klassic returned to the command bunker with a flashlight in hand (affectionate name klassic gave to his las rifle) and looked at x-23. "what happened to your unit?" Klassic then turned to Eliza, "my lady, my forces are prepared to deploy, we only await your word." Klassic stood in the back ground, his taking to wearing the mask full time, even in these difficult times had made him an impersonal man and he understood that it was difficult to interact with some one who's face you could not see, however due to the exposure he himself was probably as poisonous as the things that had disfigured him so. Klassic had taken to paint a skull on the outside of his gas mask, and those that had seen his face agreed that it was a far prettier sight than Klassic's own face.
Klassic moved over to a map on a wall and looked up at the deployment zone. "we will deploy here, here and here," Klassic said pointing to three fortified locations with a high vantage and good line of sight. "if they come from this direction they will most likely pick through here." Klassic pointed to a weak point in the rubble, a path of least resistance on the far western side of the area.

"Ambush," X23 answered stiffly. She looked over at Weaver and Hannah, waiting for them to collect themselves and head for the door while keeping an ear on Klassic's plans. Turning suddenly, she let her finger land on one of the fortified locations. "They have that one," she said simply.

Klassic pondered over the one that had fallen, not a good position to be in, but it was in a location set up to do a lot of damage to our own forces. "Any survivors?"
Klassic looked to Eliza, "we would benefit greatly to take that back."

Hannah turned her gaze to X23, her piercing green eyes observing her for a moment. She then shifted back into the 'at ease' stance, waiting for the others to make it clear that they were ready to leave. She listened closely to Klassic's plan, but kept flickering her eyes back to the Queen at intervals.

"Then you know what you have to do, gather your forces and move them out," Eliza said, 'Remember this is our last chance to defeat the enemy." she said bowing to her leaders and turning back to the window.
"I think it's best to make haste," Iris said and walked out the door.

Klassic bowed his head, it was not his place di dismiss orders, but that battlement would have to be retaken, or atleast occupied if the plan was to be a sucess.
"My lady, let me go take back this battlement, I need but five other men, and the help of the lady x23 would be more than appreciated." Klassic knew well what the price of victory would be this day, and was more than willing to pay the price for what he believed in. If Raphael had seen fit to give his life for this cause, and the alternaitve was so dark and grim, even for Klassic to bear, he would rather firght for the side that meant his freedom, even at the price of his life.
"Leave this to me, all you need to do is survive, I will keep the enemy at bay." Klassic rather liked advising the coucil, his skills had practical use there, however he liked being in the field more, being in control, makeing decisions on the fly.

"You have my permission, no do not tarry any longer," Eliza said waving her hand for them to leave.

"I don't know if anyone survived; everything smelled like blood," X23 said, keeping any emotion from her voice while meeting Hannah's green-eyed stare with one of her own. She was walking past her following Weaver when she heard Eliza give Klassic permission to do what he wanted. "Who am I going with?" she asked, stopping.

"Klassic, you'll be going with Klassic," Iris said reaching into a space hole and pulling out her broom. It was dark purple in color, different runes were carved into it's handle, only Iris really knew what they ment. She had just refreshened the runes that morning for the battle.

Klassic nodded at the assignment, he really could use x23's help. It was a duanting task, but all they had to do was buy time, not even re take the battlement.
"Come, I must redress the troops, there is little time and much to do."
Klassic bowed curtly to Eliza. He then turned and left the room, he had to give commands and find his elite. Klassic reached the assembled soldiers who were preparing to leave the gate and go to battle. Klassic stepped up to make an adress, "This bastion will not fall. To fail now not only means failing me and our mistress, but it means failing humanity. Many great men and women have died to get us this chance, to bring us this far." Klassic paused to let the gravity of the situation sink in. "Let not thier sacrafice be in vein, this bastion does not fall." Klassic stepped aside, he had given the soldiers adequate incentive, and felt that the lady commander should be the one to adress them further. Klassic walked over to his squad and pointed to his five most veteran company men, "you five are with me, the rest of you have your orders, the western wall does not fall." There was no questioning the orders, Klassic had indoctrinated them well, they would not question, they only obeyed, they obeyed for the future, to preserve what little freedom others had and might one day retrive, they gave up theirs.
Klassic and his five stood to the side, at gate far to the other side, they waited for x23.

Hannah nodded to the Queen before exiting the room. She headed down to alert the Captains of the two units requested by Eliza. The General used telepathy to contact them before reaching the other military meeting room.
