"You are the seer to the Pharaoh. Maybe that is why you are shown respect by me?" Sef offered just to make her ponder on it if she would waste the energies to.
Sef bowed his head once more at her command. "As you command." Sef added in a placid voice.
After he stood up to his full height with proper posture and towered over Sabah but he fell in step behind as one of her honour guard. Sef was more comfortable being used as a shield over that of a sword and was happy to be a guard then a raider or assassin.

Sabah ignored Sef's comment and entered the throne room, "You Highness, I saw that you needed me," she said in a calm and collective voice.
Moswen felt her teeth grind together as Sabah entered the room. The High Priestess had never trusted the Seer, but could say nothing due to the Pharaoh's trust in Sabah.
"Though the High Priestess has seen darkness across the moon, these are signs of the changing season and that a change is coming to your throne," Sabah said her eyes glowing slightly, "You need not worry these changes will benefit all Egypt," she said before smiling, "All I see are good things in the future your highness. So use this night of feasting to celebrate great things to come."
"See all of you are worried for nothing. If Sabah says that everything will be fine then I believe her, she has never caused me to doubt her before," the Pharaoh said a broad grin appearing on his face.

Sef entered the room walking behind Sabah and a step to her left. He stopped when she did and got on knee and and bowed low. Sef did not move from the spot and remained completely silent as this was no place for him to speak at all. Sef would remain as he was until Sabah moved about or he was ordered to perform a task.

Sifiye gazed over at Sef for a moment. He was just so big! It scared the young man a bit, as did the whole situation he was in. Sabah was in the room now; did she know he was here? Would she be mad that he had disobeyed her? It had been a moment of stupidity, the moment that he had discided to follow the princess...

Feeling Sifiye's uneasyness, Mandisa put a comforting hand on his shoulder and looked to Layla, if anyone was able to persuade the Pharaoh, she could.
"The future is constantly changing your highness," Layla glanced back at Sabah, before continuing, "the Gods control our destinies, and if a High Priestest of one of the Gods temples sees darkness, I would much rather follow her than the fortune tellings of a Seer."

"All of you worry too much about this old man," the Pharaoh said and chuckled, "Layla do what you want if it pleases you, but make sure it doesn't interrupt the feast. As for the rest of you, relax, all will end well."

Layla bowed to the Pharaoh and did the same to Mandisa before leaving the room. Once she was clear away she leaned against one of the stone walls. No matter what the Pharaoh, or the Seer said...something didn't feel right.
Mandisa smiled at her father finally agreeing to let Layla have more guard. It gave her a sense of ease.

Sef was glad that some of the Pharaoh's retinue were worth something. Though Sef did give the gods respect he had little for the priest. Priest and priestess were after all only human. Very few in Sef vast experience were anything thing but fanatical power hoarders. Bleak but tended to be more of the case in Sef's experiences.
Sef was glad the more guards were added. Most of those would still get drunk as the night went on but En Sabah Nur needed to prove strength to the kingdoms. He could only do that if that with a victory that none dare think him weak. En Sabah Nur would fight the pharaoh in the open in public and the Pharaoh was like most before him an excellent warrior himself.
Sef smiled as the Pharaoh allowed more guards for the night. Fighting the way the Seer wanted was not honourable in Sef's mind. Though the mind is a far more dangerous weapon then skill with weapons, strength or speed. Later on in history Sef would learn the phrase "All of us, pawn and kings" and he agrees as he knows first hand how an intelligent king and move and manipulate the pawns.

"And don't you worry Seer Sabah, you'll be right beside me as always, in case you do see danger," the Pharaoh said smiling at the younger woman.
"Of course, you highness," Sabah said her voice and face emotionless but inside she was brimmimg with happiness. The Pharaoh was a fool, a good hearted one, but a fool no less. With her beside him that ment that Sef would also be there, so even if there were extra guards the plan would go on as usual.
Moswen's cheeks reddened in anger as the Pharaoh basically brushed off her warnings, "Then I'll take my leave now that I've told you of the dangers," she said quietly and turned on her heel and walked out of the throne room. She caught Sef's eye for a moment as she past and her eye suddenly flared light purple, and then she passed him and left the room.

Sef watched as the priestess stared him down. There was much anger there he sensed and he wondered the cause of it. If she knew what was about to happen and Sef's part in it. She would have told the Pharaoh. Sabah would vouch for him but still it would not make sense for the priestess not to challenge Sef. Sabah though she could not.
Sef's stayed low as Moswen walked past but as she stared at him he watched her until she was behind him as he would not turn his head and watch her exit the room. He was merely a servant after all.

Sifiye felt the emmotions in the room spike. He felt the comforting hand on his shoulder, but it only helped a bit. He was feeling skittish now, uneasy and on edge.

Mandisa felt Sifiye's uneasiness and looked at her father, "I must take my leave now my lord." She bowed slightly and then looked at Sifiye, "Come along Sifiye."

Jasper~Jumoke "Loved by all" Apprentice stonemason currently involved in building more of the Pharoh's palace.
Jumoke's broad shoulder's were darkened by the sun but still glistened with sweat as he helped lift another block into place. He was sharply aware of the dozens of eyes that watched from the shadows of the harem as he continued to form the extension. With a broad white grin, he whispered something to a fellow worker about the staring women and the other worker laughed loudly. Jumoke had originally been nervous coming to the palace: to be working in a place where a god in human form lived did not seem safe. Now, a couple weeks later, he was comforted by being a part of the crew building. They were friends and they were close. There was safety within the crew. As long as they stayed away from the forbidden fruit... Jumoke felt the eyes of the women again and wished he could bend over in a different way that would not attract their attention. He also wished that it wasn't so hot so that he could wear more than just the linen kilt, but that was not a possibility. None of the workers even wore a wig. Most of them had a mess of black hair and some were shaven bald. Jumoke himself had hair like polished copper and it was different from the others. Just another thing to attract attention. He sighed and moved to the other side of the stone wall he was helping construct, hoping to hid himself behind it. No good: his broad shoulders showed above it still.

As soon as Moswen left the throne room her face flushed in anger, and as her eyes glowed purple she stormed from the palace. She had tried, she really did, and now she would have to go under the Pharaoh and set up a defense that would blend in among the guests. Not to mention her own priestess would also be there to help out.
Moswen gathered up her emotions and buried them inside her again as her headress was placed on her head and she walked down the long stairs. She looked up at the sun, noting it's strangely red color before turning her sites on the group of men building onto the palace.
"Mi Lady?" one of Moswen's servents asked as she stopped and glazed as the men worked. Moswen looked at her handmaiden and chuckled.
"The poor lad," she murmured and made her way over to the group of men.
"My Lord, I leave you now, if that's alright," Sabah said bowing and turning making her way out of the throne room.

Jumoke was the first to see the woman coming towards them. "The Priestess," he hissed to one of his friends and within seconds, all of the builders had dropped to their knees, bending with their forheads on the ground in front of the Hight Priestess. "Welcome, my lady," Jumoke spoke, as he was the closest to her and the foreman had gone to find some chilled wine about an hour ago. "What can your humble servants do for you today?"

Moswen looked down at the man that had spoken first, she moved so her shadow fell on him so that he could see her clearly and so the sun wouldn't beat down on him as badly.
Her lovely face broke out into a smile, "Please rise," she said gently, "What are you building?" she asked curiously.

Most of the men remained down as Jumoke had scrambled akwardly to his feet. At his full height, his face was in the sun again, but he kept his head lowered. "We are adding on to the harem, Priestess. Soon we will begin the construction of the gardens planned for the east side of the palace. We will also be available for whatever Pharoh requests us to do at the celebration coming soon." The foreman had instructed them to add that they were also available for whatever the women of the palace requested them to do, but Jumoke's face grew hot at the thought of it. He wasn't going to be available for that sort of thing.

Sef stayed bowed until the Seer left the Pharaoh and without word Sef rose up and followed her out without any expression or saying anything else. He quickly fell into step behind her and to the left once more. Duty bound to self. Sef knew he was being used to En Sabah Nur's needs but it would be a strong future.

"The Priestess knows more then what she let's on," Sabah said darkly walking down the hall as soon as they were out of hearing range, "But why is she hiding the truth is my question. Something doesn't add up."
Moswen bit her lip to keep from laughing as she looked around, "And yet all these women watch you with hungry eyes and don't offer a hand to help," she commented removing her headress revealing her blond hair as the sun bounced off of her hair.
"Isis would be displeased if she knew that egypt was being built only by men," she joked and nodded to her servents who along with her hitched up their skirts to knee length and began working along side the men.

Horror flooded Jumoke's face as the High Priestess herself knelt to work with lowly stoneworkers. "Priestess, no..." he started, but clamped his mouth shut. Who was he to protest what the High Priestess chose to do? "Priestess, I'm sure Isis knows that every man...and woman... has his or her place in the workings of Egypt. It is our place to work with stone and build the buildings that display Egypt's greatness to the gods. It is your place to serve Isis directly. We would feel wrong if we called you from your place to work in ours." Jumoke kept his head lowered and eyes downcast as he spoke all this to try and dissuade the Priestess from dirtying herself with stoneworkers, but he could not help but to raise his eyes and catch a glimpse of her hair, shining like flax in the sun. His hair was a different color from normal as well, but hers more astounding because it was so light and because she was a priestess.
