Here is a profile of an advanced Midnight, what she would be like if she went through the Weapon X process. I am this character on tullie.proboards46.com/index.cgi
Full Name: Marie Seylin Adams
Nickname: X-24
Codename: Midnight
Age: 18 physically and mentally, 28 in reality (Was frozen for ten years)
Place of Birth: Chicago, Illinois
Date of Birth: April 24
Family: Father: Marcus Adams (Deseased), Mother: Kaity Adams (Deseased)
Status: Single
Height: 5'5
Weight: 120
Hair: Long, dark brown
Eyes: Red on black (like Gambit's)
Appearance: Curvy, hourglass body, long hair that goes down past her shoulders and is usually loose, dark eyes, pretty, not like super-model pretty, but pretty. A circular scar on the back of her neck and various knife scars on the inside of her arms, toned and strong, a tattoo on the inside of her left wrist saying "X-24"
Personality: Once she was shy and Goth, but the process that turned her into X-24 has made her more outgoing, and less caring, wanting revenge, not afraid of death or blood. She is often wistful and depressed, and many times harsh and bitter.
Clothes: Usually black or red, most often found wearing a black tanktop and big black cargo pants, she wears shades when she doesn't want to be recognized as a mutant. Wears a black leather band around her left wrist to cover the tattoo
Uniform: Tight black tanktop with slightly baggy pants tucked into black combat boots. Hair tied at the end of it, created an odd sort of ponytail. Biker-type gloves.
Powers: She can create darkness and see in the dark. The nature of her shadows is complicated: This darkness is a part of her, all the pain and despair she accumulated over the years. Her shadows can absorb something into her mind, they can block telepathy, sensors (both heat and motion), lasors, most sounds, and all light. Her shadows can be shaped into various things, but they still don't have much real substance. At a certain density, the shadows have wind resistance, so she can shape them into wings coming off from her arms, using them to fly.
Weakness/ power down points: Light powers (not fire, light), if a mutant can create and manipulate light to a certain degree, it can cut through her darkness. She can't release the things absorbed by herself.
Skills: Trained assassin, very good at working together with her powers, very skilled with a knife, excellent on stealth
History: When she was nine, she found her parents murdered on the floor of their room. She was placed in foster homes after that, and at age 15 she fell in love with a boy who lived near one, but he didn't return her affections, loving her only as a sister. He was in a car accident, and she ran to the scene, where he died with his head in her lap as she gave him a final kiss goodbye. Her eyes changed color that day and she found she could see in the dark. Later she was getting a snack at night in the kitchen of her foster home and the son of her foster parents snuck up behind her and scared her. She released large clouds that looked like black smoke, and he ran off frightened, while she ran away, living on the streets until she came to the Xavior Institute. She lived there for a few days, making some friends and becoming more sure of herself. Then in town she saw someone who she had seen at the scene of her parents murder. He had been a 12-year-old boy then, and he just dropped a gun before disappearing, but she blamed him for their deaths. After she saw him, she ran away, reliving the memories. Then sentinals attacked the Institute, and managed to hurt one of her friends. She became exceedingly angry, and poured darkness over them, absorbing them, knocking herself out. She was jump-started later, then helped drive the human protestors out of the Institute. She then met a boy named Eric, called Chance, who was checking out the Institute, and they went to Alkali Lake to go swimming. While there, they were captured by Weapon X. They were put through a process, and their powers became more realized, each learning more about how to use them while also becoming trained assassins, their humanity stripped from them. She eventually killed the boy she had seen at the scene of her parents' murders while he was also operating for Weapon X. Later the program was dissolved and Chance tried to escape and was shot and killed. Midnight was then recalled and frozen until later times. Until now, that is. She was unfrozen a couple months back by some teenagers goofing around in the abandoned Weapon X complex unfroze her. She ran away, hiding, learning about this new world until she chose a side.
Likes: Her switchblade, darkness, playing guitar (a release for her), her shades, writing dark poems and songs which she doesn't share with anyone, flying, a picture of a boy named Brad, and one of a boy named Eric, and one slightly bloody, wrinkled picture of two happy-looking parents and a nine-year-old girl
Student to Xaviers or Havens?: Neither, Brotherhood
Dislikes: Humans, human-lovers, Weapon X, light, memories of the people in her past that she loved
Quote: "These marks are what happen when someone can't decide between suicide or just pain. I think I became a mutant on the day that darkness became part of me, part of my soul."
Good or Bad: Bad
Sample post: (must be at least two paragraphs long!):
Midnight flew close over the tops of the trees, the darkness that formed her wings casting shadows over the forest below her. She changed direction by manipulating the darkness, changing its shape in a well-practiced movement. She spotted a clearing below, and pulled her arms in to her body, diving down. She snapped them back open as she neared the ground, the shadows catching the air and stopping her as her feet swung forward, allowing her to touch down easily. She stood straight, and raised her hands above her head, clenching them, and then with a sigh, she released a cloud of darkness through the forest, engulfing the tree trunks, creating a thick fog, which she crept through, invisible.
She soon found what she was looking for. It was still there, these ten years later, a little further buried. She created a clearing from the shadows, and knelt down next to the grave. Midnight reached out, a hand caressing the headstone softly, running her fingers through the carved markings. X-25. He had been so much more than that, and now this worn stone was all that was left to mark his existance on this earth. But he wouldn't want her to cry over him. Not now. Not ever. "The world is darker than when you left it, Eric," her lips opening to give birth to a voice, too soft to benefit a killer. "The humans are persecuting more than ever. But we will have revenge, don't worry. We will have revenge."
