Roxie though for a moment, then looked at her.
"No offence, but ya can' always try hidin' who ya really are. When it all comes down t'it, our fears may become our greatest offence, er whatever th' heck they say," Roxie said with a smile, "Mos' o've us are scared o've others cause they think tha' we shouldn' exsit. Tha' means we need t'take th' opertunity t'show them who we really are,"

Lorna thought about what she said, but it was hard to see her point. "Who I really am comes with green hair," she said, tugging on a strand of her dyed brown hair. "Forget that I'm a mutant for a second and people would still not accept me if I let my hair go natural. It's human nature to fear. But that's just my opinion," Lorna told her. "I guess I understand what you're saying, I just don't know if I agree."

Roxie pulled her knees up to her chest.
"Mos' people wouldn', an' tha's 'cause mos' people don' like t'take risks," Roxie said with a smile, "Ya say it's human nature ta fear? Well, it's also human nature t'stand up fer somethin' ya believe in,"

"Would you be willing to die for what you believe in? I'm willing to die for what I love and what I believe in, but I will protect what I love before I fight for what I believe." Lorna played with her glass. "It is human nature to fight for what you believe in, but you have to learn to bend on some matters."

Roxie raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"I'd be willin' t'die fer what I think is right, wither it be fer what I love er what I believe, "Roxie said, then sat indian styled and smirked at her, "Yer scared t'die, ain't cha?"

"It's not something that I've ever looked forward to, but I'm not scared, no. What I am afraid of is that if I die fighting for what I think is right or what I love and it makes no difference. To die without impacting something, I think, means you led a life that meant nothing. Even if the impact was only on one person, it still accounts for something. You still did something that was important. That's what I'm afraid of, dying and meaning nothing." Lorna told her with an indifferent look on her face. It really was something she was afraid of.

Roxie smiled, then leaning back.
"I kinda agree with ya," Roxie said with a smile, looking up at the ceiling, "But, t'tell ya th' truth. I wanna die jus' havin' a happy lie. I don' care if I'm the richest, mos' famous person in th' world, as long as my family, my friends, and myself are cared for. Don't matter if people hate me er not, I always try t'have a positive attitude,"

"I can see where you're coming from, even if I don't feel the same. But you know what they say, 'Diversity is the spice of life'." Lorna said.

Roxie shrugged, jumping of the counter and walking over to the fridge. She pulled out an sports drank and leaned up against the fridge.
"They also say 'Curiousity killed th' cat', but they also say tha' cats have nine lives, eh?" Roxie said with a smirk, taking a sip of her drink, "So, ya said ya come ina car? What kind?"

"I have a BMW X-5, silver. It's parked out in the garage. It's nice. I traded in my mustang for it about a year ago." Lorna told her.

Roxie's jaw dropped with a gasp. She couldn't believe her ears.
"Ya had a m-muhstang?" Roxie said, her eyebrows raised, "An' ya... traded it? Say it ain't so... I mus' be ina nightmare..."

Lorna chuckled at the reaction. "I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, but it just wasn't practical for driving from Michigan to New York with all my stuff."

Roxie closed her eyes, pretending like she was in pain.
"Oh lord, forgive her," Roxie said, grinning a smile as she opened her eyes, "What year was it? My daddy hada white '65 muhstang. We'd drive in that thing all day if we could,"

"Oh, it was just a 2000. Nothing cool like a '65. The early years were the best. If it had been an old one I would have kept it." Lorna bit her lip to keep the laughter down at this girls antics.

Roxie sighed, then smiled.
"I agree, though th' 80's models looked like shit. My daddy bought a camero that year instead o've another muhstang," Roxie said with a grin, "2000, ya said? Mus' o've been in a really worthless if ya couldn' drive it t'new yerk then, eh?"

"It was nice enough, just a gas guzzler and there was no way all my stuff was going to fit inside it. I had to be practical," Lorna said.

Roxie shrugged, finishing off the sports drink and throwing it in the trash can.
"Hey, we all gotta make sacrafices, I guess," Roxie said with a laugh, then looked out the window, "Sunrise's almost done. Ya doin' anythin' t'day?"

"I was thinking of seeing if anyone was up for a game of tackle football out back. I could use some frustration release and it's a great way to do it. What about you?" Lorna asked.

Roxie smirked and crossed her arms.
"I'm 16. I don' havea schduale," Roxie said with a laugh, "But tackle football sounds good t'me! Maybe we can get th' whole school t'play. Ya know, have seperate teams an' such. Better yet, play mutant football!"

"That could be interesting," Lorna laughed. She could just imagine the sorts of things that would happen if everyone was allowed to use their powers.
