With a loud thud two foot sized dents appeared in the chest of the Dreadnought. The giant slid back.
"Ok..enough of this!" Back on military bases Dreadnought had earned the nickname Battalion because of the firepower he possessed. Today he would show the Brotherhood the folly of inciting his wrath. His right arm and hand formed into the M249 SAW, a machine gun used to send squads of soldiers into panic and disarray.
A handle above the barrel appeared to help steady the gun . Dreadnought used his right hand to steady the gun as he fire off a hailstorm of rounds at his opponent with full intentions to turn it on the rest of the Brotherhood after the Vendetterous had been exterminated.

Vendetterous had heard tales of this weapon once durring his interum with the spec ops group "shattered eagle." Vendetterous dismissed it as hearsay, but apparently he had been wrong. He had never heard any specifics, just that there was a suite capable of nearly anything.
Vendetterous ducked the first volley of fire from the squad assault weapon. The thing was best fired in bursts to prevent over heating, and wating an entire chain of ammo without hitting a target. neither seemed to apply to this monster. Vendetterous rolled up, trying to keep the attention of the thing on him, so that no one else got turned into swiss cheese, or at this range, confetti.

"Jeez this guy watched the Matrix or what?"
Adjusting the gas tube slightly, Dreadnought continued to fire at a slower rate. Knowing that if temperature of the gun was too hot it would melt and his right arm would be useless for the rest of the fight. He aimed Vendetterous' shoulder in a attempt to wound him.
"If this hits...I got him just where I need him."

Vendetterous caught two bullets in the chest, both boincing off and scarring over nearly instantly, but he caught three more bullets in the shoulder. Two went straight through, scarring over pretty well, but the third his the bone and bounced off. Vendetterous had some pretty strong bones, but even he couldn't prevent a bullet from breaking a bone at this range.
Vendetterous stood back up, his shoulder would set and heal quickly, maybe two days, but that did not help him now.

"Jackpot!" Ray's arms regressed as charged the now wounded opponent a long sickle shaped black blade erupted from his shoulder. Using his left arm he pulled out a large scythe that seemed to be completely constructed out of nanophages.
He stopped about 4 feet from Vendetterous and with the help of he SED nanophages attempted to use the scythe to launch him into the air and he spun around with deadly momentum.

Vendetterous watched the monster fly over him, attempting to bring the blade to bear on him. Vendetterous dropped and rolled, trying desperatly to avoid the blade. That was difficult given his injury, however he would manage. He was never akin to pain, especially not durring an engaugment.

Jasmine gasped as the shadow began to change. "What the hell is going on here?" She was scared now. She was seriously considereing transporting out of the grounds. She cared about Xavier's but she wasn't gonna get killed over a place that she had only called home from time to time.

Doyle watched Midnight quite unimpressed. Just like the others she had went quickly for a show of strength. To her credit though Doyle could see that her energy did no match that of a humans or mutants he had encountered before.
What ever it was seemed more to be possessing the seemed to be a girls body but only in appearances again. This did explain why he was attacked and then forgotten. Doyle looked to Twilight to see the fear on her face. There was no mistake. Doyle had seen it millions of times as he hunted people to survive.
"I am no ones pawn." He boasted to the pillar of darkness before and above him. With a tendril he reached out to grab Twilight and in an attempt to pull her behind him. She had also produced light earlier to see through Doyle's dark. He may need that to stop the creature that loomed over him.
Doyle wondered if he attacked the body the thing possessed what would happen. If he drained it of almost all it's energies would it stop it? He wondered how to combat it. He had been only curious before but now he was happier before he had met it. Everything dark always tried to control him and again he wondered what other curses fate had for him.

X-T growled. Being called a garden shed wasn't the best thing to call her at this moment.
"That's it," X-T yelled, grabbing a few detonators out of her pocket, "I'm done with this crap!" X-T ran forward, one hand of claws out, detonators in the other hand. Hoping this would work, she threw them, standing beside Ray.
((sorry! haven't been on for a while! >.<))

"So," Chance said, watching as Ellen easily avoided his moves. "You have luck and super strength. I've never fought a copy cat before." But he smiled casting a playful eye on Syphon, watching as she mimicked Torrent's powers, "never mind."
"Oh well, guess your kind of like the X-Man's version of me!" He smiled with a fake, toothy grin, and then reached into his pocket, exposing a twin set of ninja stars. With deft adriotness he easily fired them at Ellen, manipulating the odds in his favor. Ellen may simply have luck on her side...but then again, luck always had the potential to go bad. Chance's powers, however, were derived from probability, the chance that a certain event may happen. In this case, it was highly unprobable that his weapons would miss.
However, Chance's eyes soon clouded over in fright as the sky was ripped open by a tearing darkness.
"Midnight." He whispered somberly watching as she formed from the blackness that filled the void. His face turned pale and his eyes sullen, but still he did not lessen the fight. He wondered where Midnight stood in his life, he hadn't talked to her since the school dance. He didn't even know if she still had feelings for him. As he raised his fists against Ellen however, he sure as hell knew that his heart was aching for her.

Ellen felt the ninja stars hit her chest and then fall to the ground, she kicked them with her foot looking at the bent blades, "Hey you ripped my uniform!" she said frowning crossing her arms before she ripped a nearby bench out of the ground and tossed in Chance's direction, the bench was followed by several other objects of larger degree.

Jasmine gasped as the tendril grabbed her agian. This was getting old. She knew or at least hoped that the man wouldn't hurt her. He seemed to need her for something. Jasmine tried see through the daek. The body lay on the ground Jasmine stared at it with one eyebrow raised. "Man, what is going on"

Doyle heard her ask but he had a feeling it wasn't to him. She seemed to be in way over her head. Having hold of her now and pulled her behind him to keep her away from the darkness released from Midnight.
"It is your fellow X-man there. Why don't you ask her." Doyle said as a tendril next to Twilight pointed at the large ominous cloud above them.

Jasmine looked at the cloud. "I ain't a X-man. I just stay here." Jasmine looked at the cloud trying to disipher if she could affect it in any way. "I have a feeling you wanted me for something."

"And why would I want you? For anything?" Doyle gave a off laugh watching the the face that floated in the black of the cloud. Doyle turned his head back over his shoulder for a moment. "She is the one who wants you. She claims to have made us what we are." Doyle said to enlighten her.
Doyle was not giving himself up to what dwelt in Midnight nor would he let the girl and risk the dark growing stronger. Doyle was fighting a losing battle over himself but he would never give himself freely to the darkness.

"Made us what we are. Man she is nuts." Jasmine struggled to get loose. "Will you let me go, I don't appreciate being man-handled." Jasmine felt odd as the shadow grew stronger, almost thicker.

Doyle scowled as the girl made more demands. So instead of setting her down he dropped her so that she would land on her butt from 3 feet above the ground. Doyle turned back to face the cloud encase.
"Where are you even in this place Midnight?" Doyle demanded of the cloud. He listened for a response from the darkness and a scolding from Twilight.
