Bio/History: Storm, whose true name is Ororo Munroe, was born in Kenya. Her parents traveled around Africa when she was a small child. The building the young hero was in callapsed on her and her parents, killing them and leaving her with a horrifying claustrophobia. Suddenly orphaned in a country where no one knew her, Ororo took to the streets and became a pick pocket. Later when she got enough money she traveled to the Serengeti Plains where her mutant power to control weather manifested
She used her powers to help several of the tribes there and as a consequence she was worshipped as a goddess. Later, Profesor Xavier located and approached Storm convincing her to join the new X-Men. That's when she took on the codename Storm. Storm grew as a leader on the X-Men and became well respected by all it's members. She went through many changes though, including one where she wore leather and had a mohawk, but inside she was always the same strong and caring person. She cared so much for her teamates that she once had her powers neutralized in an attempt to save Rogue from the goverment.
*Example Post: Storm's arrival
It was a hot day on the serengetti plains and Storm lay on her fur covered bed in her own private, excessivly adorned tent. She was being fanned by two very handsome, muscular toned african men and served drinks by cute little servant boys. Her eevry need was catered to because in this land she was adored and worshipped as a goddess. But still, Ororo was not happy.
She seemed relaxed and had every reason to be joyous and content but a feeling of restlessness had been in her heart for the past month. She wanted to move but she wanted to help people. But she wasn't a goddess something here wasn't right, wasn't true. And Storm could not live a lie. On the other hand she couldn't get these people to see she was only human, she was a mutant. So what should she then do? Leave...?
She needed to think, to get away from the palace-like environment and think in her own mind instead of that of Ororo the godess. After much protest from her attendants Storm set out on a walk in the plains; the grass was dry the trees were scarce.
Parked under one of the hard-to -find trees was a family of four. A wife a husband and two kids. The father was making a wildlife video and the family followed. They had no real house and RV was all they knew as home. They hadn't encountered any problems at all...until that night.
A terrible thunderstorm took place while Ororo fell asleep in the fields. she was awoken just as a bolt shot down and something went up in flames in the distance. She was too far to see that this was the family's tree and thier RV was beneath the fallen plant. The grass was dry-fthe fire would spread.
Ororo panicked for a moment, only a breif moment, she didn't know what to do or if she should go check it out. She realized she was juggling people's lives and took off running towards the fire. Half way there she realized she couldn't rn fast enough- her heart was already almost pumping out of her chest. She concentrated and her eyes glazed over with white. Suddenly a wind picked up and she was lifted into the air and sent flying fast towards the fire.
The mother and children were screaming from inside the mobile home as the father stood outside making futile attempts to extinguish the flames. When he saw the beautiful woman floating on a gust he panicked. "Stay away from my family!" he commanded.
Ororo didn't acknowledge him-he couldn't get in her way. She looked upwards as heavy rain clouds focus over head and poured buckets down on the fire. It was immediatley put out along with the near by hazards. She then looked at the tree that was collapsed on the RV. Another heavy gust blew and the tree rolled off onto the ground.
The family was saved and ran pout to greet the father.
"Thank you so much! I can't ever repay you. What is your name?" he asked in a jovial british accent.
Ororo paused for a minute looking up into the sky as the clouds cleared away. She still floated and prepared to fly off.
"Call me...Storm." she said and disappeared. It was then that she knew what to do to fill that restless void in her soul. She had to leave.
