((is this better? I added stuff to personality, took away a power and put a weakness in skills))
Full Name: Lynn Fiona Cummings
Codename: Aria
Age: 17
Birth Day: July 1
Hair color: Blonde
Eye color: deep blue
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 130
Personality: Aria is shy around new people. She isn't too comfortable around people she doesn't know, but once she gets to know them, she warms quickly. Aria is generally a pretty calm person, but when she's angry or afraid she can be really scary. She's secretive about herself and her powers. Aria is observant, intelligent and sarcastic, but she's afraid of being different- hence the reason she dyes her hair blonde instead of the natural blue from her powers. Aria is very hesitant about her powers and even fears them. She doesn't use them, whenever possible, because she doesn't like things she doesn't understand. Because she fears her powers and refuses to use them, she has little to no control over them.
Appearance: Aria is tall for a girl, with long legs. She tends not to tan, and remains rather pale all year round. Her hair is very long and blonde. It's naturally blue from her powers, but she dyes it so she doesn't stand out. If she didn't dye it, it would be the same deep blue color as her eyes.
Parents' Name: Joanne and Ken Cummings
Powers: Aria can manipulate water, and can create it (however with a lot of effort).
Affiliation: Xavier
Skills: she's very weak at hand to hand combat, but she is able to keep a cool head in difficult situations.
Interests: Aria loves to swim. She likes reading, writing, singing and math and science.
Bio/History: Aria lived in a quiet town in Pennsylvania with two loving parents and a very nice life. She had some good friends and a good school life.
Aria only very recently acquired her powers. It happened when her school caught fire. She was sleeping in an empty classroom and jumped out a second story window. Her parents were caught in the building, however, because they had come for a parent teacher meeting that she had forgotten about. Aria got so scared and suddenly felt an almost magnetic pull to the ocean. Without thinking, she jumped in and just swam away.
Example Post: Aria closed her eyes against the tears. She couldn't cry- she wouldn't allow herself to. She also wouldn't allow herself to think about it. She stood on the edge of the dirty pier and looked into the murky water below. All she wanted was to go. Her skin suddenly became too dry to bear and she jumped in the water.
It was liberating. She floated on her back for a little while and then started slowly kicking her way farther. Farther from the life she once had. Farther from the lives she destroyed. Fire couldn't touch her in water. Water was her haven.
She flipped over and dove down deep. She kept her eyes closed at first, protecting her from the filth in the water near the pier. She swam out further and furter until she was out of the harbor and in the open, cold Atlantic. Only then did she gain the courage to open her eyes under water. Her clothes dragged her down a little, but her logic mind did not let her discard them as she wanted to. She knew that she couldn't stay in the water forever, so she kept her clothes.
The water was cold, but Aria was numb in no time. Once, she was spotted by a boat, but she quickly dove down beneath the waves. She giggled to herself, thinking about all the mermaid stories she had just launched.
After a while, Aria became so fatigued, she needed to swim in. She didn't recognize the shoreline when she finally did swim in, but she didn't expect to. She had swum for two days. She closed her eyes and on the brink of sleep, she had one thought: I need help.
