Hi! I'm new to the board, and this is my bio for a new/slightly canon character known as Emma Frost, who is mentioned in the comics but not in Evolution. Please note that her history after leaving home has been modified slightly to accomodate her being in Bayville, tthe rest is as canon. *grin*
Full Name: Emma Grace Frost
Codename: None; occasionally known as The White Queen, but this is rarely used and is developed as an adult when she eventually takes over the Hellfire Club.
Age: Seventeen
Birth Day: October 27
Hair color: light brown, dyed blonde
Eye color: blue
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 136 lbs (adult weight is 144 lbs)
Personality: (Two Paragraphs or detailed list) Emma Frost is that girl. The one who is all smiles and laughter until you turn your back and find yourself trying to dislodge the knife she stuck there. She is catty and intelligent and most certainly knows it and definitely won’t let you forget it. She knows what she wants and will usually get it and couldn’t care less about anyone else. At the same time, she’s one of those girls who you like and want to like you, and as such, Emma has a large following of friends and admirers who she’ll somehow manipulate. She’s the type of girl who guys want and girls begrudgingly want to be. Emma isn’t shy at all—she’s entirely comfortable around guys and will flirt outrageously just because she can without feeling any sort of attachment. Her ego is apparently enormous and she’s very popular.
Of course, Emma is far deeper than that. Her family is rather rich and very dysfunctional—she’s grown up to be very deceitful and very good at lying, and she’ll often tell a different story of her childhood just to get sympathy votes. She is proud and rebellious but will still play the social games required to make it anywhere in society. Her loyalties will wax and wane depending on her moods and she secretly strives for acceptance and superiority. She feels a desperate thirst to prove herself (she turned down the family fortune) and uses her powers to learn about the business and scholarly world to get her ahead. She cheats on tests if she’s unsure of an answer and will plant the incorrect one in the mind of an opponent.
Appearance: (picture or description and name of actor/actress you want) Emma is tall, now blonde, and busty, with long legs and a modelesque build. She’s gorgeous and is well aware of that fact. She dresses in high fashion (usually white) and has a preference for high heels. As a teenager, she dresses tantalizingly enough to attract even more stares than usual, and will often bend over just enough to let someone see one of the many thongs she wears—just to tick off his girlfriend. She wears makeup to enhance her looks and always tries to sport a tan on her normally fair skin.
Although her uniform was originally supposed to be the same as the rest of the new recruits, Emma has… modified it a little. She has cut a V-neck into the torso to draw attention to her chest, and has also made holes in the abdominal area to show off her flat stomach. She removed the sleeves and wears high heels in battle and training. She gets in trouble for it quite often, and received another, completely unedited, uniform that she is supposed to be wearing. Once, she showed up for training in what looked like a white dominatrix outfit. Although she beat her opponent, Wolverine chewed her out for her fashion choices and had her grounded for a week, telling her to “never try that stunt again.”
Actress: Sharon Stone, but taller with a more... expansive chest.
Picture:![](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j37/dizzy_delirious/stone_-1.jpg)
Parents' Name: Winston and Hazel Frost
Powers: Telepathy and pink psi-bolts; the ability to “possess” and control others through telepathy; memory altering and erasing; perception alteration; (all not at their full potential as a teen; only the basic telepathy is very strong, she trains hard to improve on the rest. Her ability to turn into a diamond-like substance doesn’t occur for many years.)
Affiliation (Xavier's, Brotherhood, Star, Independent): Currently staying at Xavier’s, although her loyalties are suspect and she eventually leaves to take over the Hellfire Club, become their leader, and start her own school. (several years in the future)
Skills: Extremely good liar; flirt; manipulative; naturally graceful and athletic; can separate her emotions from the task at hand; knowledge of every major designer and the newest trends
Weaknesses: Emotionally distant and has major trust issues; has never been able to keep up much of a relationship; too proud and never asks for help; suffers from crippling migraines because she’s still getting used to her powers; allergic to pollen; not a telekinetic; insomniac; a bully to people she thinks are below her; anemic; superiority complex
Interests: Electronics (she likes to build them and create inventions that can negate or improve psychic attacks and abilities); dancing; clubbing; business; speaks French;
Bio/History: (At least two, well thought out paragraphs)
Emma Frost was born the second daughter of a wealthy, but dysfunctional, family in Boston. Her father, Winston, was emotionally distant and a workaholic who held his children up to impossibly high standards; her mother abused prescription drugs as a way of coping with her own emotional problems. Emma’s older (and only) brother, Christian, also turned to drugs as a way of dealing with a family where he didn’t fit in. Emma’s relationship with her two sisters was strained at best. Her older sister, Adrienne was beautiful and vain and her father’s personal favourite, always trying to inherit the family fortune. Her younger sister, Cordelia, struggled to gain her father’s attention and became rebellious, just wanting to be noticed no matter who got hurt in the process. The entire situation was a time bomb, ready to explode at any second.
Emma’s powers manifested as a teen, adding to an already stressful home environment. (Her sisters were later discovered to also be mutants.) She used these powers to get ahead in school and was praised by one teacher, Ian Kendall, whom she had a rather large crush on. Inspired by him, Emma told her father that she wanted to be a teacher as an adult. Winston Frost was furious and believed that Kendall had convinced his daughter to do such a thing. He had Kendall fired from his teaching position almost immediately. Emma was livid and became increasingly aware of the power and mind games she was being subjected to in a family where power and social standing was everything. The only person she could trust was Christian. She learned about her father’s many affairs and used the information to blackmail him, and revealed the truth about Adrienne’s secret modeling career. In retaliation, Adrienne revealed that Christian was gay. (Emma had only been told in what they believed was secret only a few days before.) Christian’s lover was arrested and deported under false accusations and Christian attempted suicide and later fell into an incurable drug addiction.
Emma went to her father to try and convince him to help Christian, and Winston Frost surprisingly agreed. That night, he revealed that he was impressed with Emma’s deceitfulness and decided right then and there to name his heir. (Christian was not allowed after the trouble he had caused.) To the shock and anger of her sisters, Emma, the one who had caused such trouble, was named the heir to the Frost fortune and business. Emma refused the honor after seeing that Winston had Christian sent to a mental institution in order to “help” him. She decided to make her own fortune and left with a grand total of four hundred dollars cash to her name (and a bank account) and as many clothes as she could carry.
Her travels brought her to New York, and she eventually learned about Professor Xavier through the whispered rumors of the bar she worked at. (She used her powers to convince the owner she was of legal age.) She packed up her belongings and went to Bayville, where she was accepted by Professor Xavier, who knew that she was better off somewhere monitored than left to her own devices. Emma had her family send all her belongings to the Institute, after which she became dead to them. She then began to attend school at Bayville High, climbing the social ladder. She used her powers to get a fairly high-paying part-time job and does some occasional gambling (using her powers) to make even more money. As of now, Emma is the wealthiest of the teens to attend the Institute.
*Example Post: (500 words minimum, please, just to let us get a feel on how you write)
Emma stretched out languidly with a sigh as she adjusted the top of her white bikini (Dolce and Gabana, of course) and shifted her weight on the luxurious towel underneath her body. Logan would kill her for missing training, of course, but why stay cooped up inside when she could be out here, working on her tan? The pool beckoned to her, but she knew better than to go in the water. Chlorine always did a number on her hair.
The sun beat down upon her and Emma reached for the bottle of tanning oil to her side. She squirted some in her elegant hand and smoothed it over her long legs with a professional touch that she had developed after years of practice. She took care not to get any on her expensive swimsuit. It was new, after all, and she’d be damned if she ruined it on the first day she wore it. Sitting up, Emma grabbed the sunglasses to her right (Gucci’s) and the magazine beside them (Vogue) and flipped it open to page seventy-eight, where she had stopped reading. A tall glass of lemonade (with a little of the Professor’s finest Vodka) sat to her left on a little table, and she took a long sip of it as she read about the latest fashion trends from France (which she had been wearing for a good two months already).
“Frost!” came the furious roar she had been expecting. Emma sighed boredly as she lowered the rims of her sunglasses to watch Logan stomp his way over to the pool. He looked ticked off. Yummy.
“Logan,” she acknowledged him, turning the page and eyeing the featured pair of shoes in interest, “care to go for a dip?”
“No, I do not want to go “for a dip,” Frost,” he snarled back. Emma scowled as he yanked the magazine out of her manicured hands and threw it to the ground. She had paid good money for that. “Get your ass off that chair and get some clothes on. Consider yourself lucky if you can walk after this session.”
Emma let out an exaggerated sigh and stood up. She slipped on her white stiletto sandals (five inch Manolos) and wrapped a light blue sarong around her hips, tapping her foot on the ground in irritation. This sucked, for lack of a better term. Training was such a waste of a perfectly good afternoon. She strutted her way past the much shorter man, swinging her hips ever so slightly to let him know that getting up and moving was her own idea.
