Full Name: Elle James Canson
Nickname: Birdy, Bird, Quetzalcoatl
Codename: Quetzal
Age: 19
Birth Day: April 9th
Hair color: platinum blonde
Eye color: green, fading to red closer to the outer edges of the iris
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 96lbs due to her hollow bone structure
Personality: Due to her mute tendency after her mother passed, Elle is a woman of very little words. Despite that flaw, she is extremely loyal and would defend her friends to the death if needed. She tends to know her place within groups and organizations and treats anyone of higher authority to her with the uttermost respect she can. This doesn’t seem to stand with another her level or below her. If provoked, Elle can become haughty and mouthy, sometimes resorting to threats and violence if push comes to shove.
Appearance: Upon casual glance, it is easily apparent what Elle’s mutation is, and what a unique looking woman she is. Some of her normal features consist of Shoulder length bright blonde hair, expressive eyes, and an expanse of lightly tanned skin. That is the extent of normal for the young woman. A pair of brilliantly green feathered wings protrude from her back, the wing tips barely touching the ground, as well as a small frill of feathers just out from behind her ears no more than an inch or two in length. There is also the small bunches at her wrists, which trail up her arms and over her shoulders to meet with the bases of the wings. From her belly button lower is covered in soft downy like feathers of the same green as her wings. Her leg structure is altered, so she stands on the balls of her feet (think an almost exaggerated version of Nightcrawler’s leg structure and posture). Her feet and hands are both covered in the pebbly, almost scaled skin of a bird, her feet though, bare more of a resemblance to birds feet than her hands do. Her tail begins at the base of her spine and is simply a long plume of green and reddish feathers.
(good gods that description sucked… give me a week or two to finish drawing her. then it will be so much simpler to envision.)
Parents' Name: Genevieve Canson (Mother, deceased) and Vincent Canson (Father)
Powers: Due to her extended mutant family, Elle has two unique powers, one her own and one inherited from her father. Her first mutation is completely physical, forming the almost avian lower half of her body, as well as her taloned hands and forearms and the feathers that start in a mass on the back of her wrists and trail up her arms then across her upper arms and her shoulders to finally meet up with the large wings that protrude from her back. She hasn’t been able to master flying with them, but is able to glide easily from high places.
Her second mutation allows her to release adrenaline into her system for brief periods of time, enhancing her fighting skills and observation. Although she’s begin to rely heavily on this skill, the rush is starting to become addicting and seems to leave her more and more dazed after the adrenaline leaves her system.
Affiliation: Xavier’s (*dies*)
Skills: She’s not bad at hand-to-hand combat with her talons, and she’s fairly athletic.
Interests: Elle enjoys nature walks, and doing Tai chi in the mornings.
Bio/History: When Genevieve and Vincent Canson’s second child began to molt and show her plumage, the change was accepted, even encouraged. In their small town of mostly mutants, and a few mutant friendly humans, Elle was treated as a child of the community, despite her evident emerald feathers. Even her almost normal brother loved his little sister and kept her out of harms way.
Though nothing could prepare her for the tragedy that befell them. One spring day, coming home from her brother’s soccer practice, the van her mother and brother were driving was hit by another truck, killing her mother instantly and critically injuring her brother. He died days after that, leaving the eleven-year-old Elle and her father alone.
Elle fell into her depression and became a willing mute, not speaking a single word for five years after that.
The rest of her three years were a blur before she found herself in front of the Xavier institute. What little she can remember is a phone call, then her father being taken away, and her neighbors and friends debating on what to do with her.
The past is a touchy subject for her, and she wont bring it up unless she absolutely has to.
