Hey, not sure where to put this into, I'm bad at navigating these places and I'm really hoping you guys are still working here. It looks dead.
Codeword: Sentinel
Full Name: Katherine “Kitty” Pryde
Nicknames:Kitty, Kit, Kat
Codename: Shadowcat
Age: 23
DoB: February 17, 1987
Origins:Deerfield, Illinois
Orientation:Straight
Blood Type:A negative
Hair: Chestnut
Eyes: Chocolate brown
Height: 5’9”
Weight:153
Physical Affects of Mutation?:None visible except when in use of her power. She eliminates the space between atoms to “phase” through objects or people.
Personality:Light and bubbly at heart, she has been through a lot since first joining the X-Men and therefore has changed slightly in her child-like ways. She has become more serious at times but never quite lost her anxious personality.
Appearance: She appears physically very fit with more muscles than appearing so and extremely agile. Deeper down, she looks always troubled, always searching and moving forward with whatever it is she’s working towards.
Clothing Style:Usually dark blue jeans and a spaghetti string top of sorts with a tattered dark blue jacket.
::Battle Uniform::
Color:Black and yellow
Style: A “V” shaped yellow stripe connecting her shoulders and down her torso, under and up her back to reconnect with her shoulders. Yellow belt containing the signature “X” in the middle buckle.
Patterns/Markings:NONE
Boots and/or Gloves?: Yellow gloves that form like gauntlets towards her elbows. Matching yellow boots up to her knees.
Relations: NONE MUTANT
Weaknesses:Her past and those she cares for. She has always been very close to Rogue, but after Rogue seemed to branch off and follow her own path, she’s since lost contact. Peter Wisdom and Piotr Rasputin as well as Lance Alvers are all love interests that have or haven’t gone very far but always stay with Kitty as she struggles with her own feelings and whom she chases back.
Powers:The ability to eliminate the space between atoms to “phase” through objects and/or people while appearing slightly ghostlike in the process. She has found she can phase through a person’s head and while focusing, can send them unconscious. She has also been extremely trouble with the new ability to phase into another person’s body and control them for a certain amount of time. This ability is very new and very, very dangerous as well as unrehearsed and hard to control.
Affiliation:X-Men: Excalibur, the british branch of the X-Men
Skills: Computer-savvy, battle strategist, stealth
Interests: Music, love interests
Bio/History: Kitty Pryde joined the X-Men and branched off, that’s where most don’t know what happened in her life. But she’s grown up more now, and has experienced more heartbreak, battle and loss than ever before as can be expected. But as time went on, she traveled to England with Kurt Wagner, “Nightcrawler” and joined up ranks with the Excalibur unit of the X-Men. It was there that things fell into play love-wise with Piotr Rasputin and Peter Widom, a fellow mutant. She kept her pet dragon Lockheed close and fell in and out of love with both but things were always a little jumbled. Kitty never really made a full commitment though both men were eagerly after her hand, she never could quite settle down. Afraid what it meant to her and to them, she kept her hands in her pockets and away from a ring. Battle after battle changed her and after several run-ins with an extremely odd material of a different planet, she began to notice changes in her abilities. She could phase faster and had more control over it, but she was beginning to find she could phase a hand through a person’s head and send them unconscious, and further still: She could phase into them and control their body for a short time. For much fear of this ability and what it meant, she kept away from it as much as possible. Her hatred for Emma Frost kept still very strong and even stronger when Emma joined their team (See Astonishing X-Men series) and betrayed them yet again for the Hellfire Club. Kitty Pryde has much to fess up to and even more to face as time goes on but the new woman in place of the young bubbly child has truly grown.
*Example Post:
Katherine “Kitty” Pryde fell to her knees. The material of this world was so dense, so thick and it had an odd feeling to it, like it was going to suck up all her life straight out of her. It wasn’t right, she didn’t know how, but it just wasn’t right. Not like the soil of Earth, this was some kind of being of its own life force that seemed to want to drag her down into its depths and keep her there.
Sweat beads slipped down her temples and along her neck to slide beneath the black and yellow collar of her uniform. Her thick, chestnut hair was pulled into a ponytail as always but sweat-drenched tendrils hung wet and stuck to her hot skin. It was so much work just phasing through this material, she barely had the ability to stop phasing through it entirely. She just felt like she’d keep going, and she would have.
Her dark brown eyes lifted ahead to watch the blazing lights of the battle not far from her. Her vision was so askew and blurry that it looked like dance club flashes and spinning spots. But she knew, she knew very well those were her comrades, fighting for their lives. And she was here, knelt to the ground gasping for air, sweating and nearly so weak she couldn’t stand. From what? Just phasing through the dense material of the foreign soil they were on? Was there something wrong with her? Had she become too weak in her state she couldn’t phase right?
Lockheed nuzzled her cheek and landed in front of her, staring up at her with his small, black eyes. He was pleading her, he knew something was wrong, and he knew she had to get up or she’d be in trouble.
But she couldn’t.
She couldn’t muster the ability to stand any longer. She’d fought endlessly and phased for what seemed like forever to drain her strength away so entirely that the idea of standing hurt to think of. What were the X-Men to do if the “Ghost Plan” couldn’t pan out? What if they were unable to win this battle….and it was her fault?
