Cole Alden, Cyclonus, as he was called by his master, arced his hands in elaborate circles, twisting air currents to his whim. As the wind blew, they carried the flames further and further. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a whirl to the fire that he did not create, however, and turned to face it.
A black jet touched down on the clear ground, blowing the fire away from its steel body with it's vernier thrusters, and before it even fully landed, the side ramp-hatch opened, and Ravage stepped out in the the light, "Cole Alden, stand down now," he commanded, "If you don't, we're gonna have to put out this fire without you, on account of you being either detained, or worse."
"Cyclonus is the name," he said, pushing the flames back towards the ship, they licked across the ramp, but Cyclonus gave an irritated look as Ravage didn't flinch. "So tell me, X-Men, did you really stray this far from home to put out a forest fire?"

"Jesus Chris, do you really always talk your enemies to death?" Ellen asked flying past the red headed man, she stopped short of Cyclonus, "Okay so being X-men we're suppose to give you some sort of verbal warning, like if you want to surrender and become part of us...something like that. Then again I think we're both people of actions," Ellen decided shrugging before pulling her arm back and aiming a punch to Cyclonus' stomach.
'What does he men by just a forest fire, and coming all this way?" Iris asked quietly waving her staff over the fire nearest to the jet, it went out with a smokey hiss, "Christian something is not right here."

"Does anyone else sense a trap?" Psylocke said attempting to probe Cyclonus' mind, he must have had training to resist such things because his mental resistance was formidable. Psylocke simply couldn't get in. "Let's make this guick I have a feeling that the other students may be needing us soon, if the brotherhood were to attack them we'd be dealing with a double siege front." Betsy said charging up her psychic energy for an attack. Her fists glowed with bright purple energy in the shape of a sword point.

Ravage nodded in agreement, "I know. This seemed fishy from the get-go, so let's make this quick, and get outta he--"
As Cyclonus avoided Diamond's attack, he spun sideways in the air, the air swirling about his body giving him an ethereal look. Stabalizing upright, another sudden burst of air sent him towards the Blackbird's cockpit. He looked down at the windows, and reered back.
"Damn! Stop him," Ravage cried, "If he damages the windshield, the jet won't fly without becoming a deathtrap!"
He rushed Cyclonus' position, leaping into the air, his fist brought to bare. But just as it were to ram into his opponents skull, Cyclonus was gone again. As he rolled up and onto the body of the jet, Ravage followed his movements, "Psylocke, try and grab him telepathically, Weaver, try and help her, Diamond, once they grab his punk-ass, bring him down hard!"
Cyclonus continued to dart back and forth, spinning about in the air, almost merrily, "Oooh, I take it you're the leader of this ragtag bunch of freaks, eh Cherrybomb?" He laughed, and sent another high gust of wind at the team, "That just made you a priority-one!"

"Sure thing." Psylocke said using her powers to hover despite the wind, then focusing as hard as was possible she attempted to establish a hold on Cyclunos. "I'm going to need some help I wont be able to hold him forever." Psylocke said just as she pinpointed him, and blasted a large beam of psychic energy at him, then gripped her hand tight using her mind to hold to him, as tightly as she could.

"Yes because one telepathic enetering the mind is so easy, and to being seperate minds trying to get one makes it even easier," Iris spoke her eyes narrowing a little, from her craftbag she pulled out a few balls of thread. They began glowing bright purple, they easily unraveled before Iris began to swing them around her body in an almost hypnotizing manner. "Go," she whispered to the thread, it shot out at Cyclonus prepared to ensnare him from neck to feet.

As Psylocke's mental hold pushed him away from the direction he was heading, the thread from Iris' craftbag latched to his limbs, and begun to enshroud him. Within moments, he was practically mummified. Hanging in midair, an unable to move, he grinned smuggly, "Aww, what? you think I need to move to do any damage to you all?"
Like a pulse, air shifted and pushed, making invisible walls that rushed against the X-Men with force.
Ravage felt the air hit him, almost threatening to steal the breath from his lungs. He lifted a hand in front of his face, "Diamond, do you wanna put him down and shut him up! Or can I do it?"

"I don't care who does it, whoever does do it quickly before our grip fades away, this wind is going to ruin my hair!" Psylocke said holding her powers to him as tightly as she could, even to the point of making her grip painfull. "We really need to get back to the institute, the young ones are going to need our help." Psylocke said finally able to break through Cole's mental barrier, and seeing that the institute was indeed going to be under siege.

"Sorry buddy, no offense, but I have to knock you out," Ellen grinned saucily as she floated around Cyclonus the wind not bothering her too much. With a swift jab she punched him in the nose, "Wait that's not going to knock you out, my bad," she added before flicking his forehead with enough force to do the job.

Cyclonus laughed at Ellen as she punched him, despite the crack of his nose cartiledge. The laugh was stiffled as she racked his forehead, and he fell into unconsciousness.
Ravage looked to Psylocke as she spoke of the students. He knew this whole thing was a set-up, they all did. "Someone's trying to keep up from home," he growled, "Diamond, would you be so kind as to find a way to restain Windy? I gotta make a phone call."
He rushed onto the jet, and nearly jumped over the pilots seat to get to the radio, "Ravage to War Room, TK can you hear me?" Static and silence. "TK! I swear, son, this is no time--"
"--We're sorry, the punk mutant you're trying to reach has been disconnected," a coy voice spoke over the radio, "If you would like to try your call again, please redial '1-800-This-is-our-house-now!" There was a laugh, and then silence again.
Quietly, Christian stared at the radio, his eyes wide. Even leaving now, they wouldn't get there for over an hour, at top speed, supposing Cyclonus hadn't managed to weaken the windshield. Someone had picked them apart.

"Now what? We need to make the institute our first priority, we can't allow them to take our home." Psylocke said worried about the kids at the institute but more particularly the one she'd grown somewhat attached to. She wondered if he was ok, if he was handling the siege well. She then cleared her mind, and began imagining what it would be like when they arrived back at the school.

Ravage moved back to the door, "Somone, grab Cyclonus, slap him in some restraints, an inhibitor-collar, a straight-jacket, anything you can to either keep him out, or keep him from locked up! The mansion is in bad shape, we gotta go, now!"
He didn't wait for a response, he moved back to the cockpit and began to fire up the jet. The fire would have to be put out by the locals, there wasn't time to play "goodwill ambassador" and help extinguish it. He cautiously began to throw switches, waiting for the all-teling groan or red-light that would indicate a pressure breach. With a sigh, it never came. At least they might be able to get back without trouble.

"Christian, " Iris said quietly touching the man's shoulder, her blue eyes were a dark purple as she shoke, "There is a ways that you can get back much faster, but its dangerous, because I won't go back with you," she said biting her lip, "I can't go back to the school until the battle is over, there is too much going on that will effect the future and my presence will risk everything."

Ravage looked up at her, and shook his head, hesitant. "Iris, the school is in a bad way. We don't know how many are attacking, or even who, or how much ground they've taken... Risking you not being there is something I want to avoid. We'll need you."
He motioned with his head back to the door, "Besides, what about Cyclonus? We can't take him back with us in the middle of a war zone, and I don't want to leave him here with you..."
The more Christian tried to talk himself out of the quick, if handicapping, solution, the more he realized how impossible the situation may be either way.

Iris bit her lip hard before she slammed Christian against the side of the plane, "Did you not just hear what I said I cannot go back to the school, there's too much going on and my presence would risk everything that will happen," she hissed angerily, 'You say you need my help but yet you don't think I can take care of this man lying behind us?" she asked her eyes glowing even more, "I said leave Christian or I'll make you," she added opening up a portal.

"Christian I think she's right we'd better go. We need to help the students, and she'll probably be able to handle things with this boy here just fine." Psylocke said as she prepared to step into the portal. She had to think to herself "What am I doing? I've never had to deal with this kind of thing before, I just can't believe I was outmaniuvered." She was staring into the portal watching the brilliant colors of light swirling in it beckoning her to enter and save the kids at the institute.

Ravage pushed Iris off of him hard enough to get her away from pinning him to the wall. His brow furrowed as he gave her a soured look.
"Anger is the way to the Dark Side," he scolded. It was a jocking statement but nothing in his voice made it seem in any way funny.
He looked back to the others, "Psylocke, Diamond, let's go." Without a second's hesitation, he turned away from them, and stepped through the portal.

Betsy stepped into the portal prepared to be taken back to the mansion. She was sure the student would be at least somewhat allright. But there was always her skeptical side that told her that what she was hoping for was merely wishfull thinking. Of course this wasn't the side she wanted to believe at the moment. Within seconds Psylocke was back at the institute, and saw the utter chaos the brotherhood had caused.

Diamond took one last look to where Iris and Cyclonus were at, she frowned, bt her lip before leaping through the portal and finding herself on the Institute lawn. "Hell, all hell's broke loose!" she commented.
"Now," Iris spoke alone with Cyclonus she pulled out some yarn, it glowed in her hand, "Already I can see possibilites of your future, you're a very interesting subject," she said quietly her fingers flying over the yarn making a basic square that glowed purple with her powers. "You can wake up now, I know you're not completely knocked out, though I advise you to keep your powers to yourself, I get cranky when someone disturbs my work."

Cyclonus opened his eyes, and slowly lifted his head towards Iris, meeting her eyes with his.
"You're pretty aware," he smirked, "for such an amateur. If the rest of your teammates knew I was faking, I doubt they'd have left you alone with me for long."
His smirk twisted into an angry sneer, "What do you want with me," he asked, "Because you know nothing of my future, and unless you're about to read me my fortune cookie, I doubt you could tell me anything I would find useful."
