Appearance: Doyle having avoided the light of day for so long has become quite pale. Coupled with jet black hair and eyes, he looks to be quite strange. The contrast is huge and many people assume he is a goth but his over all appearance but it is just how he looks. His face is narrow and he has narrow like cheeks, chin, nose and head. Over all if people can get past the extremely fair skin and the pitch black hair and eyes. He is quite handsome, in a pretty boy sort of way. He is quite slender but is well built and shows his well formed muscle mas well. He has a fay like over all appearance like he should have been casted for an Elf in the Lord of the Ring movies. On his back to each side of the spine are rounded, shinny black bumps that are a few inch's in radius and there are six in total. From them sprout his tendril. With his tendril fully extended he has the appearance some what of a dark angel.
Powers: Energy Drain, Tendril, Mastery of Dark, Dark Sight and a Healing Factor
Energy Drain: With this power Doyle sucks the energy from a persons body. He needs to do this to feed, to keep himself alive. This is the only way he can keep his body functioning. He normally only takes enough to keep his body alive but is actually starving for more. If he takes the lowest amount needed to sustain himself for one day. He would put a regular human into a deep sleep for a couple of days. A mutant who does not tire easily would faint but come to soon. If Doyle actually drained someone till he was full they would die. If they were tougher then the average human(Peek conditioned humans) would go into a coma. Someone like Wolverine with an accelerated healing factor would be dazed or in a drunk like state. If as he normally does, only takes enough to survive he is weaker then his normal self. The sun hurt him and his powers are not as strong at all. He cannot eat food or drink water anymore with out throwing it up instantly. If he drains a lot of energy he becomes stronger and his powers have a more potent effect. He also does not need very much sleep. Like most predators he can function easily from dust till dawn, so that he has enough time to hunt in. Doyle needs to feed the base amount everyday unless he drains something full. At which time he can go a few days without needing to feed off another victim. Though he can only live off of life energy. He can drain just about any other form of energy with ease. They just cannot give his body what it needs to remain functioning. It is like fast food, it can make him feel full but it is empty and any of the required nutrients needed to remain in good health.
Tendril: These long tentacles are black ecto-plasmic energy. They can retract into his back right to the black stump like things on his back. At their bases the six can split into more giving him more tendrils if needed. The tendrils can stick to things with only a though. He uses this ability to pick things up climb up walls easily and can use it to pick up things without wrapping around them. He can also use his Energy Drain through his tendrils as well.
Mastery of Dark: He can manipulate the dark and shadows. He uses this ability to trick his prey, hide his presence or just to show off. This power has no offensive abilities. He usually only brings the dark around him as a shroud. He can make shadows move about in dim lighting. It would take be being full before he could be able to make dark form around him in natural light. He also regenerates cuts, bruises and broken bones in the dark and consumes less energy. It also grows the tendril back instantly. The last thing he can do with his Mastery over Darkness is to turn into a dark cloud. He has only found one use for this power so far and it was to fit into a place he normally could not. It allows him to fit through a crack in a window or under a door and reform on the other side. This power usually only works will in places that aren't in direct light or places with no light. Flash lights and things of the sort still work as they normally would in must instances. If he put a little more focus into it the flash light would only show what the main beam would see.
Dark Sight: Doyle sees the world in black and white. He can see in bright light or in pitch black but always in black or white. The only colour he can see is the colour of peoples life force energy. They are different colours judging how much energy is surround or in a person. The rest of the world is a dreary place for him. In day if he only took enough energy to stay functioning his eyes would burn a little in the light and he would be uncomfortable.
Healing Factor: This is a healing factor on par with Spider Man, Green Goblin, Marrow or Angel. This doesn't help his energy levels or prevent him from getting sick or hurt by the sun if he doesn't feed enough. It only heals cuts, bruises, broke bones and the such. It also makes it so he can't freeze to death. He can take very low temperatures on par with a human in a full skidoo suit. It also allows his Tendril to remake themselves if cut off. The tendril grow back at a much quicker rate then anything else can. This power really only reduces healing time from weeks to days. Days to hours. It is very hard to hunt down food if you bleeding to death.
Skills: All First-Aid and Medic courses he could take. He now has developed from hunting people. Stalking, Moving Silently, Fighting Skills
Affiliation: None. He is a loner. He might stay at the Brotherhood but he is not one of them. Most of the brotherhood is the kind of people he would normally feed off of.
Personality: Doyle thinks himself a monster or a creature. Mutation destroyed his life and killed his humane side. Only thing left is what his power made him become. He wallows in self pity, ashamed and full of hate. He hates his life, the world and himself. Years of this has made him utterly cold, cynical and vicious. He has tried to end his painful existence but could not do it in the end. Something else Doyle is, he is a surviver no matter what. That is the reason he is still around today. He used to be a fun, loving person. With an insane amount of lust for life but that changed the day he needed to drains others lives to keep his own functioning. His love of life extended even to those that hated him. He would never wish evil upon anyone but it seems that someone was not as kind in return. When He first drain someone a part of Doyle died that day. He has never been a full person since that day. Though he still retains bits of his former self. He cannot find it nor does he want to through all of his hate, temper, loneness, reckless, his cynical view of the world. He has a major inner war to say the least.
History: Doyle had what he believed to be the prefect childhood. A full and loving family, many friends, little worries and a great environment that was his town. It was a great community where everyone lived in as much harmony that one could find anywhere. Doyle helped contribute to this environment as well. Though he thought highly of it he wanted to make it better. He volunteered everywhere that need him or some places that didn't. He did everything and anything to help make his community and home better. He would help the town out by helping it's works pick up garbage, by working at the animal shelters, helping out at the old folks home, the hospital or even by help other elderly people do basic house hold chorus. He was a major part of his community and though young everyone though of him as a community leader. Many a people would back behind him or at the very least listen to any and everything he had to say on any matter dealing with there home. He was almost the entire corner stone of his home. Everyone knew him and almost all liked him and those that didn't weren't his enemies. He was even a town hero. There had been a fire one night when Doyle was walking home. It was a teenage girl who some how lite a fire and ended up knocking herself out. Doyle kicked down the door pulled her out and phoned the fire department from there own house. He went back out and waited with the girl. The girl named Ashley ended up becoming his girl friend and it was a very serious relationship from the beginning. Live was great and everything was as he wanted it to be. Until one day Doyle was on his way home when he found out his older brother Douglas had been killed in a car accident. Doyle couldn't coop with it and ran away. An hour or two later Ashley found him. She had a good idea where he was but had to wait until Doyle's mom got off the phone with her to go and look. It was an awkward moment for them. Doyle ended up dumping a lot of how he had felt about it and them to her. She decided it was time to tell him a truth she had been keeping from him. She was a mutant! The fire of the night he had saved her was her fault. She had freaked out and ended up knocking herself out cold. This was almost to much for Doyle. He turned away in disgusted but thought about it and realized it really didn't matter he knew her regardless. After a very short fight, until the realization happened. They made up and started to become closer then ever before. At this time stress and tension was soring in Doyle and unleashed his latent powers. He transformation was quite painful and scared him and Ashley very much. Once complete on impulse his tendril grabbed grabbed Ashley and he drained her energy. He drained so much that she fell into a coma on the spot and still has yet to come out. This transformation and the draining of Ashley terrified Doyle. He has so afraid of himself, others and what he had done. His younger sister had found them and was shocked to see Doyle. Doyle told her to stay back and he said good by and left never to return. That was Doyle's exile from heaven to hell. He learned that it was easier to find prey in the city. Even though he died a little more inside every time he drain energy from another person. There was a few times he tried to end his life but couldn't. He mostly feed off of criminals and the like but still hurt ever time he had to. Not even the lowest form of life deserved the fate he had bestowed upon his victims in his eyes. His life became a dark and miserable existence. He wandered alone feeding off of people night after night. Then one night he saved a strange Gothic girl from some thugs. This girl was not repulsed by him or anything. He and this girl began a new life together but it wasn't to last. She was a strange one and made a group of people who would get the privilege to feed him. They did and it scared most but they came back for some reason thinking Doyle was a vampire or god like being. Doyle quickly grew depressed by this life it was become as bad as the one before. She had ended up using him in ways he did not like. It ended very badly in a huge fight. Doyle should have known better that he could not have a normal life. She tried to attack him and learned how far from human she had made him become. He drained her only a little but it was more then she could handle and ran away in terror. He continued to roam about. Living in one city and when things became to much of a problem he drifted to the next. Leaving misery, comas and death in his wake.
Sample Post:
Doyle looked out over New York City from his place on top of a large skyscraper. He sat his back press up against a wall to the stairs down. The city looked like a nightmare in his black and white vision speckled with bits of colour where peoples life energy shown. He shivered once but not from the cold and winced as he remembered his pain. Warmth was flowing from his shoulder. He stuck his fingers to feel what it was not really having the energy to move. He held up his hand in front of his eyes breathing quite heavy. They glowed a very soft and dull colour. It was his blood. He looked down to his shoulder and saw the cause. It was a large silver stake. Doyle laughed at the lunacy of it all as he ripped it from his body. He was starving and had not been feeding well for nights now. On top of it all Blade the vampire killer had been stalking him the whole night. He watched his blood flow very slowly from his body. He did not have the energy to move let alone regenerate his wound. It had surprised Blade when he had first drove it into Doyle. Usually vampires turned to dust or ash when Blade stabbed them so. Blade quickly learned Doyle was something else and even more dangerous. Blade still hunted him thinking he was a monster and Doyle thought so as well. Doyle's ears perked as he heard some gun shots six roof tops over. Spider-Man had stopped Blade from killing him. Spider-Man saw something in Doyle that Doyle could not see in himself and that was a human being. Doyle was more inclined to Blades point of view and wondered why he had put up such a fight. Well depending on who won the fight six roof tops over he could be very easily killed tonight. All was silent now for a few minutes. Someone had won the fight and were tracking Doyle down once more. He could not defend himself anymore, nor could he hide himself. He just lied in the open right to accept what ever fate had decided for him this night. Out of no where a voice said to Doyle. "It's alright I am here to help you." Doyle frowned he was ready for what ever fate had planned but he was expecting to die this night and had been let down once again. Spider-Man continued "It's not your fault. I can help you, if you take it." Doyle found it all amusing and started to laugh but was cut short as he started to cough and hack convulsively. He was so hungry right now and Spider-Man was rich with much life force or life energy. Like a person who had starved themselves a long time and saw a huge meals dropped in there laps, Doyle looked at Spider-Man. Doyle didn't want to attack him. He actually wanted to take him up on his offer. Spider-Man was the first person to offer any kind of help or just to treat Doyle like a human once again. Doyle fought his urge. Though Doyle's subconscious was looking for a short time solution to his problems. All at once Doyle's black ecto-plasmic tendril lashed out at Spider-Man. Spider-Man caught a little off guard dodged incredibly 4 of the six Doyle swung at him. Never had Doyle seen anything so fast and well executed. The only reason Doyle had caught Spider-Man was because would close Spider-Man had come to speak to him. Doyle felt life rush into his body. He was being filled with fire it felt like. He quickly regain his strength and started to feel invincible. Spider_man had so much energy. Doyle was not happy though, his hunger had betrayed him and made a decision for him against his will. He was so angry but nothing he could do now but feed. Spider-Man's energy was so good and took effect right away. The hole in Doyle's chest was quickly closing now and the bleeding had slowed almost to a stop. He set Spider-Man down when he had his fill. It was time to move on. Doyle had over stayed his welcome in this city and he did not want to meet Blade again either. He looked down at Spider-Man and walked over and knelt beside him. "Blade is right Spider-Man. I am a monster." With that said he looked Spider-Man over. Spider-Man was just dazed and would fall asleep any second now for about half and hour to an hour. Spider-Man's healing factor is something Doyle wished a lot his prey had. He stood up and walked towards the ledge. A cloud of darkness surrounded Doyle as he approach the edge. He looked back once more at Spider-Man before jumping off and disappearing into the horror of his life, the dark of night.
