Nearly 5000 years ago a young, strong beautiful woman fought desperately to escape a pursuer. She was tried and exhausted beyond reason despite her strength and youth. She was Egyptian who had set sail to across the Mediterranean with her husband who was a wealthy merchant planning to build the start of a trade empire in what is now called Europe. The trip across the black sea was long and fill with a dread full storm that damaged the ship. They landed the ship on the shore of and island near what is now today called Italy. They spent two days chopping down trees and hauling them back to the beach to where the ship laid on the shore. They did not start unloading here despite the nice surrounds and what looked to bountiful of resources worth trading. They would need to build the nexus of the trade empire on the main land of what is now Europe. After two days of repairs they were nearing completion of the repairs. One the third another storm waged on and the crew blessed there good fortune they were beach as they sure would have sunk this time had then been sailing. The crews spirits were now soaring high as it was the nice beautiful weather and the finally repairs finished. It was as they gathered new fresh water for the journey ahead. An lookout called that a strange ship was approaching fast. The crew in there folly thought that if they rushed they would be able to get away from shore before the ship approached. Everyone began running and shouting as they hurried and quick and stead the strange ship closed the distance. The captain of the trade ship knew it was pointless to launch by the time they were ready. Even if they did and were a war ship which they could tell the other was a war galley of some kind it would make no difference as they would have the shore at there backs. Also it appeared that the foreign ship was quite fast. The captain began to organize the men to prepare for battle. The other ship aggressively sailed right at the beach next to they trading vessel. It crashed up onto the beach and very quickly warrior of the Norths-men pour out attacking everything with a weapon. The merchant pushed his wife into motion and lead her away from the fighting but to no avail. They had been spotted by two of the Norths men. They gave pursuit. Further and further in land they ran but the raiders were gaining. The merchant stopped suddenly and picked up a hefty stick and turned back to face the two. His wife wait even though was told to continue just out of sight. The raiders laughed as they went to attack the man but were quickly surprised as he fought back as well as he did. One raider dropped dead from a smashed throat. The other realized quick that this was serious and fought with his years of experience. The exchange was brief and brutal as the merchant fell over his head rolled away. Vikings had a saying Cross the breath line. The wife shouts in horror as her beloved husband was murdered before her very eyes. The north man looked up and made his way over to her with a broad grin at his spoils of victory, Sef's mother.
The next day the North men had all left and the survivors all gathered on the beach. The widow looked about. The destruction was great and most of the crew and captain where dead. They sail south under manned and with shattered dreams. They landed in what is today Lydia where the widow was sold by the knew captain into the slave market. She was now ripe with child but could not bare to kill it even if it might have been the North-man's child. The crew blamed her husband for there misfortune. She lived as a slave the rest of her life which was until the birthing of her child. She saw the baby and smiled. Even though she was sure that the child was the North-man's it was still a beautiful baby and she could not help but love it. She died shortly after. Sef had to grow up strong. He was always receiving the hardest of the manual labour due to his great size compared to most of the other slaves about Egypt.
Sef ended up working in a field on day during a raid on the town he lived in. Raiders rode in on horses and started killing and looting. They were the Sandstormers (The raiders who took in En Sabah Nur). As raiders came and attacked Sef managed to kill two men. Baal offered Sef a choice. Join the tribe or join the town. Baal took Sef into the tribe as Sef had no love for his cruel masters and wished a live of freedom even if the Sandstormers believed in Only the tested and strong should live At the young age of 12 he was taken into the tribe. He stayed with the Sandstormers and like the rest feared En Sabah Nur but respected him as well, unlike the others. Sef day of rites happened before that of En Sabah Nur and by this time Sef was rightly feared himself by the others but was still dwarfed but the strength of En Sabah Nur. Soon after it was En Sabah Nur day of rites.
Later that night Pharaoh Rama-Tut attack and killed or captured the group of Sandstormers. He tortured most and killed many trying to learn the location of the Sentient starship Rama-Tut had used to travel back into time with. Though Baal and Nur were the only two Sandstormers that knew. Though none would have spoken a word even if they had. Baal had died and that left only En Sabah Nur. Once En Sabah Nur made the week trip but to the surface from the ship he too was caught.
En Sabah Nur became a slave like Sef but it did not last for long. En Sabah Nur rose up and freed other slaves. A rebellion lead by En Sabah Nur quickly took over Rama-Tut palace over. Fantastic Four, the West Coast Avengers, and Doctor Strange arrived in Rama-Tut's Egypt in time to watch Rama-Tut fall before En Sabah Nur. Sef played a large role and lead some men to kill of many of the guards at the barracks. Rama-Tut fled back tot he future and became Kang. En Sabah Nur appointed himself Pharaoh and ruled Egypt with an iron fist. Sef was appoint a Captain of En Sabah Nur's armies. Many of the surrounding kingdoms attack Egypt in it's current weakened strength but they had only failed to gage the power of En Sabah Nur's power. En Sabah Nur found three other mutants and made them captains as well. En Sabah Nur's kingdom was under constant warfare with others around his. In this time legends about En Sabah Nur's great captain's spread the world wide as legends. The four horse men they were called Death(Sef), Famine, Pestilence and War. Sef was the first and only human to become a Horse Man. During this time they earned a reputation that would not even be forgot today. The Four Horse Men rode the deserts destroying those kingdoms that opposed En Sabah Nur rule. After all En Sabah Nur saved Egypt from a tyrant of the the future. En Sabah Nur rewarded Sef by taking him to his ship and reversed his body several years back.
In the same years a kingdom strong like the one En Sabah Nur was forging forged and alliance with En Sabah Nur. It was a bloody one and the kingdom proved strong so they sealed a bond between them by sending a princess to En Sabah Nur. Sef escorted this Prince to the heart of En Sabah Nur's empire. It was a long journey and in which time Sef fell in love with the woman would would end up being Deirdre mother. Sef love for her remain a secret and never did he betray his master by pursuing her. Not long after Deirdre was born. En Sabah Nur had a beautiful daughter that was the envy of every man. Her and her two closest friends where sought after by all until a prince from another powerful kingdom came to stay. Deirdre ended up falling into a coma like sleep. En Sabah Nur became furious and became twisted and hardened more then he already was. In his grief En Sabah Nur attack Sef and the battle was an epic one but Sef the Horse Man of Death was no match for En Sabah Nur and lost. During the fight he lost his left leg complete to En Sabah Nur. Sef was very cunning and En Sabah Nur was mad with grief which lead to Sef managing to escape En Sabah Nur wrath. Sef swore vengeance and Horus heard his called and gave him enough strength to reach En Sabah Nur starship. Sef had no idea yet that Horus had help by giving him strength. En Sabah Nur chased him right to the starship in which Sef lost his right forearm before being launched into the future by the ship. Sef hated his former master and would do much to seek his revenge for his masters betrayal.

Sef had no idea what was happening to him as he was being catapulted into the future thousand of years. He was lucky to escape En Sabah Nur's wraith. Sef understood that he would have been angry but drive to mad extremes he had attack Sef with unjustly could not be forgotten. As Sef unawarely shifted through time his thoughts faded from his mind, his concerns and cares washed away. Sef thought as though he was dieing.
Sef came back to awareness and realized he was buried shallowly in sand. He wondered if the cavern had collapsed. Sef reached up and felt his hand clear the sand. Sef clawed his way up through the sand and started to choke and hack for air. Sef laid exhausted on the surface of the sand. The world around him faded to black as he started to lose consciousness. The last thing Sef saw before black was a large falcon staring at him.
Sef came to and his surroundings were completely different, an abandoned subway tunnel. Sef looked about in a bit of a panic trying to figure out where he was and assess his surroundings. Then the large falcon swooped down and landed on his chest. Sef stared at the bird wondering if it was going to start eating him. Sef tried to swat it away but had no energy to even really lift his arm. The bird move barely and the arm missed greatly. Exhausted he sat still and stared at the bird none able to chase it off. The falcon merely continued to stare. Long moments pasted and then something in Sef head changed almost like an awaking.
Sef continue to stare but now he recognized the bird. "I know you." He told the falcon. The falcon coc.ked it's head to the side and watch Sef. Then it happened. Sef continued on "You are Horus." The falcon started to grow and change until it was a man with a falcon's head. The god watched the man a second more before speaking to Sef not with spoken words but he still spoke none the less. "I am impressed mortal."
Sef look at the god for a second before lying back. Sef was still bleed and dieing. "If you are here then, Anubis not be far away." Horus bent over Sef and point his finger at and spoke once more. "Do not mention that jackals name ever again. Only me, only my name. Speak his name again you will meet him" Horus scowled Sef like a parent punishing a child. Sef recoiled at the assault. Even if Sef could he won't ever mention the name again.
Sef looked down at his mangled body remembering the fight again. "I am bleeding like a stuck pig. I am going to die. I lost my arm and my leg." Sef said inform Horus that he would be seeing Anubis if he said the name or not. Horus just looked at Sef. "Not if you swear to serve me and in doing so you will get your revenge." Horus posed his bargain but knew he had Sef already. "Alright." Sef agreed to Horus terms. "Swear it!" Horus told Sef. The god needed the mortal to swear himself to Horus for what the god had planned. "I swear to you I will serve you." Sef told the great God of Vengeance.
Sef looked at Horus "I have lost my leg and an arm." "Forget your old leg and arm. I shall create new ones for you." Horus told Sef. At this Horus grabbed Sef by the chest with his left and and lifted him up easily and walked to the edge of the subway platform. Horus was a little rough but why should be be gentle and delicate for a human. Horus carried him over to the edge and laid Sef back down. Horus then moved down and over to the main rail and cut it with his laser eyes. Horus retrieved the piece and brought it over to Sef and held it next to Sef cut off leg. The piece was the exact size of the missing and lost leg. Horus' eyes flared once more and the laser vision started. The metal spewed sparks as Horus began his work. Sef tried to see what was happening but couldn't. Horus finished after about five minutes of work and returned to the main rail for another piece. This time he attached it to Sef's right arm.
Once finished Horus looked at Sef and spoke "There I have given you great gifts. A new arm and leg." Sef looked down at his new arm and tried his new hand and fingers. He then inspected his new leg. They were made completely of metal. "These are not my limbs!" Sef told Horus in horror. "I told you, forget your olds ones. I made you new ones." Horus said with a bit of disdain at having to repeat himself. Sef looked quite angry at Horus as he tried to move them and couldn't. Sef rolled over and tried to stand. Sef got up on his knees then stood. It was like his old leg and the first few steps he took the metal clanged loudly each time he moved his left leg. He looked back at the god these was more then his mind could handle.
"Where are we." Sef asked Horus. The god looked back at Sef. "Beneath a grand city in tunnels." Horus told him. "It is not as much as a matter of where but more of when Sef." Horus told him. "What are you talking about Horus?" Sef asked him. "We are in your future many upon many generation into it. Much farther then you can count anyways." Horus informed Sef. Sef looked at the god "You are mad or more likely me." Sef said as he turned away from the god and started to leave thinking he was just hallucinating. "Where are you going Sef?" Horus asked though he already knew the answer. Sef with out turning around spoke to Horus. "To the surface to claim what you promised me. Revenge against En Sabah Nur." Sef said not believing Horus about being in the future.
"I said you would get the opportunity. I did not say when I would allow you to attempt to claim it." Horus said as he removed the strength he grant Sef to use his new limbs Horus had crafted for him. Sef's arm sagged almost lifeless to the ground. It was very heavy to lift. Horus actually made it more heavy then the steel should have weighted. Sef fought to keep going. Sef dragged his foot and fist, pulling and heaving it along fighting Horus will. "What the hell did you do? It is very heavy." Sef directed with much hostility towards Horus. "You swore to serve me. You need me Sef. Do not ever forget it. Obey me and it will not trouble you." Horus told Sef as he would a dog he was trying to train.

Horus asked though he already knew the answer.
