"I am more than happy to serve you. It is my honour to do so." Mazarus smiled. He missed his mother dearly and had been over joyed at her return.

"And Mazarus no matter what happens to me and your father in this battle, make sure to take care of your sister," Iris took Amelia by the arm and hugged her also, "Both of you take care of yourselves, you're both so important you have no idea.
"Mom," Amelia managed to choke out as she was hugged, "What's going to happen what have you seen?"
"Nothing you father and I can't handle, don't you worry."

Raphael was already half way to the city block as the sun was beginning to rise. They had stayed up all night, he hoped Jasmine would be up to the task.
Mazarus knew something was up. He stood behind his mother and sister. "the time draws near, we should leave immediatly, we can't be too far behind Raphael."

Sef had disappeared after Raphael and Jasmin before the others where aware that he had left. He had to make sure that En Sabah Nur was defeated. He was now an avatar of the Avenger and many people wanted there revenger against Apocalypse. He would make sure that Raphael would defeat the man. Seth's champion and hold on his world would both begin to fail. It was time again for it to become Horus' father kingdom once more.
When the time was right Sef and Horus would give something to Raphael to help turn the tides of the battle. Sef had seen more in his life then any other mortal before him. Though it was full of purpose and destiny. Sef hated Horus for it but little could be done for it now. It was over five millennium to later for that.
Sef was ready for closure with his history with En Sabah Nur. He had grown out of his hatred for the First one long ago. Sef had to help stop him for other reasons then revenge now.

Jasmine crept behind Raphael, her feet noiseless on the ground. She felt strong, somehow, like the greater purpose was lending her strength... She wanted revenge as much as Raphael did. Her green eyes darted around, taking in everything, and her ears alert, waiting for Raphael's instruction.

Raphael smiled, he was proud of Jasmine, she was brave. "onwards to the city, where do you want to be.?" Raphael was looking around cautiously, that boy had run off probably to warn them. He might have pulled the lynch pin to the whole operation, but that would not stop Raphael, he was stubborn.

Sef quickly approached behind the two caughting up. He knew Raphael was aware that he had approached even though he made so little noise it would have sounded a small animal scurrying about at the very worst.
"You forgot us." Sef whispered to Raphael's back staying low and out of site. "You are going to end us before the end. Besides we have fought together before and I think it is time returned the help you gave me."

Jazz looked around for a suitable hiding place. "There," she pointed to an outcropping on a hill and started walking to it. Her eyes shifted to look at Sef. He seemed to want to help, but she wasn't so sure about trusting him.

"I cannot stop you, do as you please." Raphael returned to look at Jasmine, she was bright and could stay out of trouble while still being a help to Raphael, that is why he picked her above any other, she was skilled and Raphael trusted her. He nodded to the hill, she would have to get a lot closer eventually, but it was probably best they break off into two groups. Raphael put the ear piece into his ear and spoke to Jasmine, "can you hear me?"

"Yeah," Jasmine replied quietly, eyes darting around as she made her way to the outcropping. From there she could cover his entrance, and then move closer when he had made it. It would leave a blind spot for a minute or however long it took her to get closer, but that shouldn't matter much. "I can hear you, can you hear me?"

Sef smiled at Raphael's response. He had change little of his ways since they last fought together.
"We think the great Raphael sells himself short. We have seen you in war before. We think you to be modest Raphael." Sef's smile grew as he said his piece before going silent. It was getting close to time. It was no longer fun. It was war and that meant work for these two.
Sef watched as the girl headed silently for her hiding place she had picked. Sef would have chosen another but she had picked very well. Sef watched her approach to the hill and noted how well this student had learned from her mentor.
Sef wished when he was growing up that he had a mentor like her. The closest thing he had to one was Apocalypse himself. The Sandstormers rules were only the strong and tested should have the right to live. Since those days Sef had learned there was a strength in community as well. Even the weak or untested could strengthen the whole.

Iris headed out first, her movements were cautious and fluent as she led a path for the second team through the city.
Amelia felt cold inside on not seeinf Christian anywhere and kept to herself as she followed her mother.
Iada on the other hand was used to scout ahead and slear the way. This came in handy because she enjoyed being a step ahead of everyone else.

"Yes, I can hear you, take care of yourself." He began to head for the Entrance, he would not worry about being sneaky too much, but it woudl benefit him to wait to make his presence know until day break when the master himself would be out.
Mazarus followed behind the group, he took up the enod of the column, making sure no one circled back on them or out flanked them, this would be especially important once the were inside the city, they simply had to hope Raphael would draw enough of the guards to make it easier for them to get in.
Raphael was the the edge of the city now, with little reprisal thanks to Jasmine and her artfull eye for trouble.

The Team Sigma survivors were, by now, holed up near the fourth stop of their whirlwind tour of Apocalypse's outlying defense posts. Reinforcements, both armed humans, and energy projecting mutants were swarming their position, and closing quick.
"Rumble! Is there a way out of this place," Christian called, as his partner returned from exploring a sublevel of the complex.
"Negative, boss," he remarked, "The only way out of here is through the front door, or dead."
"I appreciate the kind words, Frenzy? An overlook, if you'd please?"
"Sir, a cursory evaluation of enemy capability, indicates a distinct tactical deficiany."
"In other words, Kevin?"
"He means we're outnumbered," Christian sighed, "You think there's enough here to give the rest of Raphael's mercs a chance?"
"From what I've seen, and the three counts I've made, I'd say we have about 1/4 of his defenses either attacking, or approaching."
"Damn... Alright, try and keep them off long enough for Raphael's crew to get in!"
Amelia, can you hear me?

"We're on our way, Iada should reach you before we do," Amelia sent to Christian masking her concern for him.
BAMF! and through a cloud of smoke rolled Iada as she looked around at Christian and the gang, "Hey coolio place you picked to stake out!" she said grinning.

"Thanks," Cole smiled, "We like it cause it's nice and cool in the summer but the winters are a bit more GET-ME-THE-HELL-OUTTA-HERE!"
"Iada," Christian gasped, trying to hide the fact that she startled him, "We did what we had to, now can you get Rumble and Frenzy back to Amelia, and the rest?"

Kevin smiled as he took an arm, "How ya doin? I'm Frenzy."
"Not now, Romeo..."
Christian looked at Iada, "Take them to Amelia, tell her we've got about a quarter of Apocalypse's armada advancing here, so the front door should be easily kicked down. I'll join you in a short while."
He picked up a bag, stolen from the munitions depot, and opened it, "I have enough C-4 in here to level this building, and anyone around it."

"Nice to meet you, you two went to school with my mum and dad right?" Iada asked before listening to Christian's instructions, "Can do, and don't go getting yourself killed or Amelia will kill me," she said before disappearing and reappearing near Amelia and company.
