Sheena pushed a large marble block onto a cart, just as the rest of the "slaves" were. Sheena could do so much, but she was captured just because a few little cards got ripped. She was hopeless. Was there anything she would be able to do right? She began to beat herself up within her mind for letting Apocalypse kill Corrine, AND practically make her a vegetable waiting to shrivel up and die.
"Dammit...I'm so sorry Corrine..." she mumbled.
Maria was having fun, as hard as it was, playing with the slavers and every now and then cursing at them in Spanish. "What's the matter Sheens? Been thinkin' 'bout Corrine again?" she asked, getting whipped across the back.
"I'm workin'! Damn, can't even get a break around here..." She mumbled, pushing a black alongside Sheena.
"Yeah, Corrine...and everybody else I let down."
"Don't beat yourself up over that Sheena, we all fought for freedom, we just couldn't achieve it."
"Yeah...well, I can't wait until we all find a way out of this hell hole." Sheena replied, pushing her block onto a cart and wiping the sweat off of her face.

Eliza chuckled as the marble slab knocked over a slaver then looked innocent, "Ih'm so sorry Ih didn't see yah," she said and the slaver grumbled and limped away. Somehow even as a slave Eliza could get away with stuff with her innocent look. Still grinning Eliza glanced behind her to see a blue man being beat.
Her eyes narrowed and she felt the weight of the small celtic cross on her neck and ran over and block the slavers from beating him, "Let him be," she shouted and the slavers backed off, using the crystals to turn off Eliza's powers. Even poweless Eliza was frightening when she was angry.

If there was anything Kevin knew for sure, it was betrayal. When his ex-squadmate Christian turned them over to Apocalypse's soldiers, all he could muster from his friend Cole was an expecting nod.
"You know, you never were big on trust, Rumble, but there had to have been signs about Ravage wanting to turn us in."
Cole growled. "I'm not a telepath, Frenzy, I couldn't have done anything more than you could."
He pushed another rock into place, and paced back to the pile for another.
In all the years I spent untrusting of my friends, it had to figure that the one I did trust screwed me over.
Kevin transformerd into a hulking goliath. It took twice as long to do, thanks to the inhibitor collars, but he knew the slavers would let him, since the heavy lifting was his forte here in the digs. Shoving a large stone on top of a pile, he looked down at Hannah.
"Really makes you resent not being a kid anymore, don't it.

Iris felt Raphael ignore her message and sighed, she should have been angry, but lately she had been more depressed. Apocalypse had captured Amelia when she was not but a few years old. Iris in grief allied herself with Apocalypse to keep her daughter from becoming at slave.
But this wasn't the life that Iris had wanted, looking at her daughter through doorways as Apocalypse raised her, teaching that he was her father. It broke Iris's heart, but the deal had been set and Iris was bound to Apocalypse, no way out.

"Father I find this all insanely boring," Amelia said coming up the steps and crossing her arms. Her long black hair blew in the wind and her purple eyes glared at Apocalypse, "Yes, they're slaves, yes they're building you a city, but why do I have to stay here?" she stated with a huff.

Christian James, now known solely by his codename of Ravage, smiled cruely as he watched Rumble and Frenzy work below. Due to an outburst from yesterday, they had been working close to 32 hours straight, without food or rest. Iris had told him to feed them, but as far as Ravage cared, they were his property. Even now, he could see them talking amondgt themselves, and obvious law infraction.
"Iris," He yelled across the workyard, "I'm giving serious thought to giving my workers some overtime! Mind If I give them there time cards?"
He held up his fist, which crackled with kinetic energy. Enough to crack 2, maybe 3 ribs with a single punch to the chest.

"I hardly think that you have the brain power to make those decisions," Iris growled glaring at Ravage, "Last time I check you were in charge of feeding at water the slaves, or is that too difficult for you?"

Amelia's face instantly perked up as she heard Ravage's voice over the noise of the slaves working, "Ravage," she spoke sweetly, 'You're doing well I hope?" she asked giving him her best smile.

Ravage grunted at Iris' remarks. Of course I'm not that stupid. I just don't care if they die as mych as she does!
"Huh," he snapped out of his thought at the sound of Amelia's voice, "Oh, good day to you, my lady." He bowed his head. The last thing anyone should do in this day and age was insult the daughter of the ruler of Earth. He tried smiling, but it felt so forced.
"I'd be fine, if it weren't for these lazy workers we employ around here. How are you doing?"

"Quite well, as to be expected," Amelia smiled daintily, "Though I know you like to work the slaves, it's your duty to my father. Perhaps this one time you could allow them to finish in a resonable hour and join me for dinner?"

Ravage was stunned. This had to be some sort of test. I ploy by Apocalypse to test my loyalty.
"I..." He stopped, again, not wanting to insult her, "It would be my honor."
He nervously swallowed. This was indeed shaky ground. Apocalypse could tear him down in the blink of an eye if he stepped to far.
"I would never go against your requests. When would you like to meet?"

"Seven would be best," Amelia said before adding telepathy <Do not fear him, I will handle my father> she said before turning around and walking down the stairs, "Until then Ravage," she said looking back with a sparkle in her eyes and disappered down the stairs.

Iris resisted the feeling of wanting to throw Ravage into another dimestion. Instead she merely growled and floated near him, "You know Apocalypse would kill you if she didn't fancy you. You've stepped out of line far to many time to be worth anything to you. So I suggest you keep the lady's favor, or your own life at least."

Ravage stared at her for a minute. Then looked to the ground, questioning what happened.
Quiet, Iris, don't kill my high right off the first plate
He looked down to Kevin and Cole in the stone pits, "Hey, slackers! I've got good news!"
"Geico's been outta business for ten years, traitor," Kevin called back, as a rock pinged off of his head
"You'll be off early tonight! I have dinner plans!"

Eliza looked up from protect her husband and frowned, "Yea anh we're hopin that yah choke on ah chicken bone," she yelled to Ravage drawing smirks from other slaves.

Ravage slid down the hill, and walked intimidatingly towards Eliza. He grabbed her by the collar, and lifted her off the ground.
"You're lucky I'm in a good mood now, otherwise I might get my satisfaction by breaking your wrists, and making you do some heavy lifting, got it?"
He turned, and climbed back up the rocks. Time was ticking, and for the first time in nearly 7 years, he had a reason to do some dressing-up.

Amelia sat down in a comfortable seat and watched as the servents set up the dinner. She felt a little nervous, but other then that she was excited. How long had it been now she has pestered her father to let her do this? Many years, since she first gazed at Ravage and felt heat course through her body.
"Mi'Lady all is set," the sevent said bowing to her.
"Very well, when Ravage arrives, please guide him in and call me," Amelia said getting up and walking off to get dressed up.

6:55. He was early. Fashionably late, or reasonably early, he thought, paranoid.
The grand door opened. One of the master's servants greeted him, "Ahh, mister James? We've been waiting for you!"
"Settle Frenchie," Ravage poked, "After tonight, only one person will be allowed to use my real name."
He thought of her. He couldn't stop thinking about her since she asked for him to join her for dinner. Now she seemed more beautiful. Her hair, those eyes, her voice.
He stood by the table, awaiting her arrival, and as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

((Ieeee I remember that episode!!!! God I'm old))
"Mi'Lady, your guest is here," a servent said peeking into Amelia room.
'Thank you, I will be down shortly," Amelia said adjusting her dress, and looking in the mirror one last time. She looked very nice, fancier then usual, and that was good. She stood up and made her way down the stair and smiled at Ravage as she stepped off the bottom one.
"I see you were early," she said.

Raphael's scowel hardened even deeper as he saw his daughter calling that monstrocity father. It had never sat well, her mother's decision to send her back to the earth and Raphael had protested loudly. Mazarus' own heart sank, he missed his sister and did not like to think of Apocolypse calling her daughter.
"In good time my son, they will all burn." Raphael looked up at the roof top to see jasmine, she was keeping rather well hid, and the tip had helped himself and Mazarus avoid a guard who would have walked right over top of the two. He gazed back watching Iris who appeared to enjoy her job. Raphael wanted so much to destroy Apocolypse, and he actually had a good chance of succeeding, however it was not yet time for such a thing. He turned and tapped Mazarus on the shoulder telling him to back down the alleyway, Raphael taking up the rear guard.
Mazarus pressed the com, "I think we are done scouting here, we have learned enough for one day." he said quietly as they managed to move back down the alley. Apocolypse was more occupied with guarding his slaves than his own safety so that Raphael and Mazarus would not have much difficulty getting back out of the city.
