Raphael looked at the girl who had spoken up. He had never seen her before and did not know why she was here, or offering to keep him company. Must have been a friend of romeo's here, but Raphael had no place to judge. He pondered the offer for a moment before speaking.
"I have seen you before." Raphael lied, trying to figure out who this person was. Raphael was pretty good at circular reasoning and sort of cornering people into telling him what he wanted to know without them even realizing it.

"Nope you haven't, not yet at least," Amelia said smirking realizing what Raphael was trying to do, "Why do I look like someone you know?"

"no..." Raphael was tired, he did not even want to play his own game.
"I assume you came in with wing nut here..." Raphael motioned to Christian's (atleast I hope that is his name) door.
"It matters not who you are, people pass by like pollen grains on a river, you are not likely to see the same one more than once. Occasionally they get stuck to the same rock as you, but even then they can be worn free again."

Amelia chuckled, "Yeah figured you'd say something like that," she said grinning and leaning against the wall, "And I dodn't not come in with Christian, I came in with a dare that went wrong."

"There are worse things in life I suppose." Raphael did not enjoy standing in an open hall way. He supposed it went back to his days in service, being in the middle of a hall way was a tactically stupid idea and Raphael was not so confident in his abilities as to not be unnerved by the situation, even if he was in a friendly area.
"so if you didn't come in with him, why come here...and why fight over the guy."

Amelia shrugged, "Iada and I fight over everything, that's why. Besides a friend of ours dared us to use our powers together to transport ourselves into the past, and it worked, and now we aren't sure how to get back," Amelia said thoughtfully.

"I see." Even though Raphael did not particularly want to, he was still learning information about this new person, his nuances were subtle.
"So you are new in town I take it, and your friend has left you all alone with nothing to do and only me to bother."
Raphael sighed heavily, he did not particularly want to cater to a young girl...but he had nothing better to do.
"come along then."
Raphael walked up the stairs to his appartment, he would need to get a few things.

"Score! I can't believe I'm actually hanging with the younger version of dad!" Amelia thought grinning broadly, "Now that I think about it, why did mom marry him? He's really not much to look at."
"So, um," Amelia said trying to think of something to say, "How long have you been in Bayville, no offense but you don't look like the type of guy to hang in one place for a long time."

"Just got back in town, had been away for a long time."
Raphael said, he could have lied, but what difference did it make. He had left for some time, he had gone to clear up loose ends, to end his business of being a hired gun. Now he was an honest man with a real job. Raphael hated every minute of it, it wasn't natural, nothing about it was. He would rather be in the field hunting down his enemies, but instead he had given it all up. He couldn't even remember why anymore, it had not stopped his past from haunting him.
Raphael opened the door and stepped inside, putting his suit jacket on the sofa but leaving his vest on. He grabbed a few things out of his room and returned. His appartment was rather spartan, not much in there at all. A TV in a cabinet, a few chairs and a sofa, almost nothing hanging on the walls.

Amelia took a quick glance around the apartment and made a face, no wonder most of the things in her parents house were her mother's. Raphael didn't seem to get into the whole decorating thing like Amelia's mother, "Going for the batcave look, aren't you," Amelia joked.
"And it's called Denny's?" Iada asked c.ocking her head to the side.

"I have what I need, nothing more." Raphael tried to usher the girl out of his abode.
"I suppose reservations should not go to waste."
Vendetterous closed and locked the door before heading to the elevator. He had a car parked in the garage that he used for special occasions. It was a 1927 rolls royce silver ghost, completely restored.

"It's yhe Ghost!" Amelia thought looking excited circling around the car, "I've only seen this thing in pictures. Mom and Dad had to get rid of it once I was born. But oh my god look at this thing, no wonder dad always got misty eyed when he remembered it."
"Nice ride," Amelia said cooly.

"It gets me around town." He opened the door for her before getting in the drivers side. He put the car into gear slowly, it didn't have power steering, so at slow speed it was difficult to turn, and Raphael didn't feel like hitting anything. He pulled out of the parking garage and made a left onto the street heading towards down town.
"This restauraunt we are going to, is kind of up scale. so, try not to destroy anything like earlier with the door."

"That was more of Iada's doing then mine, but I'll try to control myself," Amelia said watching everything out the window, "It's so cool everything is so old!"

"that is the way of things, time travels only one way."
Raphael cared little for time travel theory, if in deed you managed to go back in time, and land on the earth as its position in the universe changed with time, then it would have been nearly impossible to go back, becuase just by being there you had changed some miniscule fact. To Raphael it was not worth the trip if you could not go home.
The downtown area was well lit for this time of night, must have been the end of the financial quarter and everyone had to stay late to ge the final numbers down.
Raphael pulled up infront of a restaraunt that had a red valance over the walk way and a valet there to park the cars. Vendetterous got out and handed the keys to the boy, "one scratch and I will break every bone in your body." he whispered to him. The car was something special to him, it was his mark of achievement. He lead Amelia up to the host.

Amelia smirked as she over heard what Raphael said to the parking valet, "Same as always," she thought following Raphael winking at the Valet as she went.
"Wow this isn't any Mcdonalds!" Amelia said looking around.

"No..." Raphael's reply was breif, he was greeted by the host. Raphael smiled and said, "Lukavelli, reservation for two." The host smiled, "I know who you are Raphael, and there is always a table open for you." Some time ago Raphael had done a favor for the proprietor of the restaraunt and it was paid back to Raphael with food.
A seater came up to take the two to a table near a window.

"So what did you do to make this place indept to you?" Amelia asked bruching some of her hair out of her eyes and looking at Raphael with interested, "Well this would explain why mom and him were always going out to fancy places," she thought and smirked.

"I have done many things for many people, I would consider none of them worthy of praise." Raphael was breif, he did not like to comment on his past. They were seated and the drink order came up. Raphael ordered a coke and a glass of ice water, prefering to stay away from liquer and wine, which he thought tasted too much like vinegar for him to care for.

"Just water, alcohol make me loose grips on my powers," Amelia told the waiter who gave her a puzzled look and then walked away.
