"Just go before she does realizing we're skipping out!" Ellen said.
Amelia looked back into his eyes and felt strange, like she should naturally go to this complete stranger, but also she felt like she should run away because she didn't know anything about him.
She chose the latter.
"Well I have to go, Destiny and I are going dancing," Amelia said taking her arm and quickly walking away she glanced back and smiled at Christian before disappearing around a corner.

Christian held up a hand, as if telling her to wait with his mind, but he knew it useless. He brought his legs to his chest, and sat on the grass for a long time.
It's one thing to meet and lose the one you're meant to be with, he said to himself, it's another, much more painful, thing to meet them and have them disregard your reason for being. Especially if that reason is them.
He pulled out a picture, one of him and 'his' Amelia in Ares Dorm, hanging out in his room as he played his song for her. Halfway through it, Cole had burst in and taken the picture, which he reluctantly gave back to Christian after a few shots to the face with a throw pillow. He sighed as he remembered back:
I could have been born yesterday But it'd still be like years ago How could something this meant to be Never be given a chance to grow
You make me feel like I'm winning this But I'm about to lose I don't want to not see you I've got no choice so you choose
He sat around for a few moments, and picked up the roses Amelia had not taken, and walked away, ever silent.

"Oooh girly you look so fly!" Destiny said after finishing Amelia make-up etc, "So why did you hang around to listen to that guy? Didn't he realize you weren't the same gal?"
"Yeah he realized it, and partically I felt sorry for him. I mean I guess he waited most of his life to see that other version of me. I feel kinda bad now because I forgot his flowers. They were really pretty too," Amelia said looking at her image and shrugging.
"Hehe, whether he knew it or not sounds like he got your attention anyway," Destiny grinned.
"Maybe but it would be confusing, he'd always compare me to the other version and that might drive me insane," Amelia said slipping her feet into some boots.
"Well girl if you don't want I'll take him, and if you do want him ask around and see if he has any friends," Destiny said slipping into some high heels, "Now come on I feel like dancing!"
"So Kevin did you ever get married, or had anyone serious in you life after I left? Better yet are you seeing anyone now?" Ellen asked not wanting the car ride to be quiet and dull.

"Nope, jusy a few girlfriends that want me dead," Kevin shrugged, "I don't think I can be tolerated for a period long enough to constitute a marriage. So, indulge me," he asked, "What would you suppose Cole is up to nowadays?"
Christian wandered through downtown Bayville, slowly recalling to memory events and times that he shared with Amelia. His Amelia, that is. He walked past a familiar storefront, and recognized it as the toy store were he first met his Amelia.
Stopping, he glanced about it. It was closed down now, but the brickwork remained the same. He looked near the ground, and found it: a brick near the foundation, where he had taken his knife and etched the word 'Serendipity', which meant finding things you didn't look for.
He had done it shortly after his Amelia had left, and didn't want to part with it so soon. Christian sat down on the sidewalk near the wall, reminiscing, and lost in a maze of his own emotions.

"Probably a tabliod pgotographer, or trying to get friendly with some playboy bunnies. And come on Kevin your not that bad, people just need to know about you is space is good," Ellen said playing with the radio.
Amelia had to swallow as she entered the club from all the mental energy that was going on. She quickly blocked most of it out. Instantly Destiny led her and gave her a couple of shots before pushing Amelia out to the dancefloor. A little tipsy Amelia began to dance, but not the bumping and grinding that everyone else was doing but her own dance, that seemed to go with the music but was to graceful and elegant to be with the hip hop music that was playing.
But the funny thing was what Amelia did to keep annoying men that just wanted a hookup away. Everytime they came near they would suddenly turn aroun dand walk off. Sometimes it paid to be a telepathic.

"No, Space is good in small doses. If theres too much space, you end up like..."
He looked out the passanger window, and noticed a familiar face, "...Christian?"

Christian forced a smile as he saw the headlights approach him. He stood and dusted off his backside, and strolled to the car, "Ellen, Kevin, long time no see. Though I must admit I'm kinda shocked Cole isn't with you. What're you doin' back in town?"

"Well the movie is shooting in New York and I'm still cheap so I opted to chill at the mansion," Ellen said ignoring the comment about Cole, though he was top on her mind now a days, "What's with you?"

He shook his head, and diverted his eyes, looking down the street, "Nothing, just wanting to visit old friends."
He held his silence for another moment, "So what do you two have planned tonight? Dinner date?"

Ellen's eyes narrowed, "Christian we were on a team together for years, I can tell when your lying. Wait, you went and freaked Amelia out didn't you?"

He smiled a half-hearted smile, and shook his head, "I tried not to. But I had a promise to kep with my Amelia. I had to see her at least once. I wanted to see if they were the same, ya know?"
He shrugged, "I guess it may have been better living in a winter of discontent."

"Okay first of all you shouldn't have walked up to her and given her your life story," Ellen said rooling her eyes before pushing Christian into the car, "Secondly did she run away like you were crazy? Or call the cops, and what about her body language?"
|
|

"Well, she didn't call the cops, but she did seem in a hurry to get out of the situation, but her friend seemed like she was in a hurry. I didn't really study her body language, cause examining her like that would have made me all the more creepy."
He slid into the car's backseat, "I just let her go. You still haven't told me where we're going, by the way."
"We don't even know, buddy, but I think food might do you good," Kevin said, "Ellen, think you might be able to cheer up our lovesick friend?"

"I haven't failed yet, probably all Amelia needs is a girl to convience her, well one that can put in a good word for Christian anywhoo," Ellen said taking the backseat and wrapping her amras around the passager seat and Christian, "Don't worry, I've been known as the love doctor more then once."

"It's okay, really," Christian said, placing a hand on her arm, "I don't want her to be forced into feeling something she doesn't, and I don't want you to talk her into it. I'm content with just knowing she's alive and well, in some form or another."
He was only half-lying by this point, "I don't want her confused more than she is already. Besides, I dunno where she'd even be."

"So where has she been this whole time, last time I check Iris disappeared a while back?" Ellen asked leaning back.

"College, oddly enough," Christian said, "She's been at Bayville University, I guess. Dunno when she got back. Iris was rather hush-hush about leaving. I didn't hear anything about it until a few months later."
"Well, at least you got to see her right," Kevin said, "I mean, it's better than nothing, you know?
It's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all, pal," Christian assured him, "Just ask Ellen. Cole can attest to it."

Ellen's face went unreadable as she looked out the window, "All he had to do was ask me not to leave and I would have stayed. But he was too pigheaded to figure that out," she said darkly.

"Yeah," Christian said, looking at his feet, "It's too bad he couldn't have realized that before the accident."
