"Then what are they waiting for?" Amore called, taking another grenade from her "guards" and tossing it into the middle of another crowd of soldiers. If it came to hand-to-hand combat, she would definitely be glad that Shrapnel taught her some form of fighting. She took a quick look around Shrapnel, Sinister, Iada, Zeb, and Ellen.

Sinister's eyes thinned, "Unless this was expected, and they have some form of trap waiting in the interior of the lab. With this 'cure' in their hands, who knows what these idiots have planned against us."

"Thanks Iada I can handle it from here," Ellen said and the small blue woman nodded and ported back to the fight, "Now to find the way down to the subbasement," Ellen murmured walking down the halls looking around.

Static crackled in through Ellen's earpeice. "Down the hall, two lefts and a right, down the stairs..." Came a soft voice.
Easy? Maybe Zeb was just out of shape. Ah, well. He took down one of the walls that had been placed in his mind to keep his power at bay. His hands sparked as he teleported himself forward, using the build up of energy in his hands to sever the men's hearts just by touching their backs.

"They're sending in the National Guard!" Jo said from the air as she continued to play with the weather to keep the darts from hitting her.
"Hold on Zeb!" Ellen said as the hallways filled with soliders, beefy looking ones, "I got some cuties here that want my attention," she said dropping into a crouched position and tackling the nearest one putting a shard through his neck.
"Just me or these guys just keep coming out of nowhere?" Iada asked appearing beside Shrapnel, panting slightly.

Jasper had moved aside for the soliders to run past him. A girl turned into the hallway he was in, said something in her intercom, and proceeded to take out the advancing soldiers. He winced as he watched the shiny crystal, now streaked with red, come out the other side of the guard's neck. He didn't feel that he could move, just stand there, staring at the violent destruction and wonder if there was anything he could do to help. The man with the shard through his neck was hopeless now. The girl must have been one of the mutants attacking.
Damaris could hear the sounds of attack and had rushed forward to help Ellen, but met with her own group of guards. They open-fired and kept firing even though they could see the bullets were useless against her metal skin. They had always relied on guns before and didn't have enough time to think of something else that might be usefull.
Damaris's hand went straight through a man and she choked one on the other side of him before removing it. Two more were simply crushed with no visible explanation. The others shouted, "Fall back, fall back!" and started to run. Still more dropped behind them before they could get away.
She was numb to death. She was numb to pain. She was numb to suffering. Hadn't she seen it all around her all her life?

"Evidently the NG has been called in," Shrapnel said happily as he slashed the neck of another soldier, "We must be causing quite the ruckus for them to send in the Guard for just lil ole us."
"There's a bunker just below the sublevel," Onslaught said, broadcasting his words into his teammates minds, "They have about another 150 soldiers hunkered down inside, but I can take it out."

"No I got in Onslaught, concentrate on the NG," Ellen said through the communicator after sha had slaughtered the last hunking solider in the hallway. Blood slid off her crystal armor as she walked down the hallway, she stopped as a younger guy was standing in the middle of the hall, "Hey," she said and her eyes softened slightly, "This place is going down, you'd better get out of here before you get hurt."

Assault Rifle fire pinged Onslaughts armor, streaking up his shell and dissapating. He turned and saw a lone guard standing there. He dropped his gun to his side, and before it swung to a stop, Onslaught had picked him up by his head, his giant hands wrapping around the mans skull.
"Nothing to say? A silent scream will suffice," he grinned under his helm, just before crushing the mans face into paste.

Jasper stared at her a second before getting down on his knees next to a body. His sensors quickly told him the person was dead, and he let out a small sigh in that moment. "This is about the cure, isn't it?" he finally asked, standing up again and numbly ignoring the bloodstains on his hands. "I know they shouldn't do what they are doing... but they are just trying to help." Even tall and broad shouldered, Jasper looked almost forlorn standing in the hallway, surrounded by the dead. Looking up, his eyes found hers. "Thanks... for my life."

Ellen shrugged, "No problem, just because I'm on the badguy team doesn't mean I'm bad to the bone," she commented, "When you get outside there's a woman with dark hair and violet eyes, she'll protect you," Ellen mentioned before taking off down the hall to get to the subbasement, she turned and the added, "Good luck kid," and disappeared around a corner.

Jasper watched her run off around a corner, then steeled himself for the journey out of the building. He turned down a hallway and ran into another mess of bodies. And then in a second, he found himself flattened against the wall, some unknown force holding him in place.
"Jasper... Jasper Jones," came a soft voice, laced with a sort of cruel pleasure. "I never thought I would see you here."
"Damaris!" Jasper gasped, twisting his head to look at the silvery figure advancing toward him. "Please... Damaris, please let me go," he pleaded.
Behind her goggles, Damaris's gray eyes hardened. "I'll let you go, but not for your sake. For Lindsay Folker's sake. I wouldn't want to leave little Aaron fatherless."
Jasper was dropped in a heap on the floor. His head snapped up and blue eyes stared at Damaris. "How... how'd you know?"
Her expression was unreadable behind the goggles and metal skin, but she seemed to be looking hard at him. Then, turning her back, she strode off down the corridor, a tall, stiff figure. Then she turned in the same direction Ellen had gone.
For a second, he stared after her. Then he pushed himself back to his feet and made his way unsteadily toward the front doors, or where they had been. Body after body was piled up within the doorway, some unrecognizable with whatever had been done to them. Outside stood more people, the attacking mutants. Would they kill him? He raised his hands above his head and brought himself into full view. Please don't kill me, please don't kill me, please don't kill me...

"Watch it sweetie, their not shooting b b's at us," Jo said landing heavily on the ground as a force field went up around her and a boy that just came out of the lab, "I'm Jo by the way," she said glancing at him and grinning as her force feild split in half and became a dragon and began attacking the NG.

Sinister saw Jo and the unknown boy from across the entry way, "Jo, is that a captured mutant? Take him out of here, I want the humans dead, not innocent captives. The X-Men will be different, but he's seen enough!"

"Easier said then done!" Jo replied to Sinister as the soliders surrounded the force field.
"Oy, Sin-ster, I'm gonna go and free any other mutants that might be trapped in there," Iada said porting beside Sinister before taking off again.

Jasper hadn't even seen the National Guard before they had started firing. Just as he had thrown his arms around his head and braced for impact, the girl called Jo had popped in beside him and shielded him. Then a dragon seemed to appear out of nowhere... he gave up trying to understand. A creepy-looking guy nearby thought he was a captured mutant. That wasn't completely true, but the essance was the same. He didn't know anything about the cure, he had been captured at one point, and he didn't have a choice in working for Worthington Labs. "Thanks, Jo," he told the girl who had grabbed him a the door.

'No problem, now come on lets get you out of here," Jo said taking the boy's hand and with a wave of her hand the sheild around them swept towards the soliders surrounding them knocking them all over the place. Jo walked around the soliders, the occasional dart was shot in their direction but strangely enough a strong gust of wind would come up and sweep the darts away from Jo and the boy.

Michelle glanced at the new guy, very briefly. Cute....and strangely familiar. Grinning, she made her way over to them. "Hey, Blue. Never would've thought you'd be in this place." She said, smirking as she looked him over again. "Haven't changed a bit." Michelle winked and then returned to turning the soldiers against each other, grabbing a gun from one of the closer ones.

Shrapnel brought his blades down in an arc, literally taking one guard and cutting him in half. The soldiers scream was drowned out slowly as his body quit functioning. "This is getting too easy," he said, "Something tells me we've yet to face the real threat here."
He let his arms hang to his side, as a 'cure'-filled dart dinged off of his blade. "He jumped backwards, "Jeezus! That was too close!"

'You're getting too old and slow for this my love," Iada said porting beside him and kissing his cheek, "Gonna go and free some prisoners, see you in a little bit," she said before porting into the building and heading for the cells.
