Scaleface glanced up at her as she slowly ate; "Hi," she said quielty once she'd swallowed; "This is good, Iris," she said to her, then she looked back down at her food.
Scaleface realized she'd have to get used to quizzical looks and other things all over again. Inwardly she sighed. She'd deal, she could handle it.

Kat looked over to Scaleface, wondering why she suddenly pulled her hair over her temples. She just sighed before talking to Iris.
"Can you make an omlette with tuna?"
((OOC: Just so you know, Kat has cat ears and a tail, both in dark green, the color of her hair. Also silver cat eyes. Just saying this so I won't have to put into a cheesy line like "her ears twitched..." blah.))

Tuna? Scaleface looked up at that, studying the girl. She thought about how ironic that request was, but then she turned into a giant lizard... lizards ate nearly anything and everything. Well, the bigger ones, anyway. She just looked at her food and ate.
But then, she stopped, and looked at Kat; "You go to school?" she asked her curiously.

"Um...I haven't enrolled in any classes here yet; I haven't had the time, honestly. But I did go to school before I moved here, almost a week ago now." She said. "I plan on it though." She said the next part with a nervous laugh. "I could deal without the whole school thing; I just love to learn."

"Oh," Scaleface said with a nod. She continued eating, glancing at Iris. She looked at Kat again.
"Can you turn into a whole cat?" she quipped, her curiosity innocent.

"Sure," Iris said and smiled going to the cupboard and taking out a can of tuna opening it and putting it into the omelett's middle and then flipping the omelett in half, "You'll be enrolling in school on Monday Kat," Iris said sliding the omelette onto a place and putting it in front of Kat, "The sooner the better."

Kat looked at Scaleface when she asked if she could turn into a cat.
"Nope. I'm a second generation; I inherited the cat look from my dad. My power is over plants." She then started to eat the omlette placed in front of her.
"This is good, Iris. I'll start school on Monday? Do I need to hide my traits?" She asked curiously.

Iris shook her head, "We've pretty much come out of the cover of normal human beings. there were issues about a years ago about it," she said tapping the spatcula on the counter, "As long as you don't use your powers in school you should be alright."

"Alright." Kat said with a slight cheer. This would be the first time she hasn't had to hide her features. "Can I wear my sunglasses?" She asked, tapping the ones on her face. "My eyes are a little bit sensitve." She then turned back to Scaleface. "So, what's your power?"

Scaleface looked at Kat when she asked that question; "I..." she said; "I turn into a lizard... a big one..." she looked down; "It's nothin'."
Quickly though, she changed the subject and looked at Iris; "What issues?" she asked, wondering ifthe terrible stories of Topsiders were true.

"I think I heard about that. Didn't a sentinal like attack the old group of X-Men?" Kat remembered it being on the news years ago. She popped her back as she stretched.

"Wassa Sentinal?" Scaleface quipped nervously. It sounded big,bad, and dangerous. Wait... weren't those giant robots? Didn't they attack mutants? Wasn't that their purpose? Scaleface stopped herself before she became too scared or worried. She'd let Iris and Kat explain.

Kat blushed a bit.
"Sorry about that, it didn't attack the mansion, if that's what you mean. I was at the mall when it attacked. Yeah, it tried to kill us, I was with one of the older mutants, Rouge. Luckily she helped me beat it."

Kat shook of the mall question with an easy definition.
"Mall- A building where many many stores are set up for the conveniance of the shoppers. Stores can sell practically anything, from pets to clothes to video games and lots of other stuff. If you want, I could take you on a shopping trip sometime." Kat said with a smile, showing off her fangs.

Kat sighed in relief.
"I don't either. I would offer you some of my clothes....but seeing how you're over half a foot taller than me, I don't think you could wear them." She said with a cheesy grin. She always acted like this around one or two people; she loved being the percky, if somewhat clueless, little ray of sunshine.
