Noticing a few eyes passing over her Kaia figured it was about time she introduced her self as well. She remained sitting but dropped the strand of sliver hair she was playing with letting it fall across her solid black eyes before pushing it aside. "I'm Kaia Aliikai, you can call me Ka'ahupahau." Sitting a little straighter she pushed some of her sliver hair aside to reveal the sealed slits on the sides of her neck as she continued. "These are gills, but they only open up when I'm in water, obviously I have lungs as well for breathing air. I can also feel the electrical pulses given up by living nerve cells, it lets me feel the movements of those around me. I can control the electrical pulses of someone to a small degree when I touch, but it's rather dangerous, if I overload someone's nerves system it might shut down completely, brain and all." As Kaia spoke in the usual calm gentle voice tinny sharp triangular teeth could be seen hiding behind her pale pink lips.

"Um...actually...no I don't think I can call you that." Huntin smirked a bit. "I can't even remember what you said. Kaia okay?" He cracked his knuckles and scratched at his back a little.

"Kaia's fine too." She answered simply as her solid black eyes gave a shy glance towards Huntin.

He smiled softly. "That'll save me the trouble of coming up with a dumb nickname for you; thanks." He looked aorund to the others. "Wait...Minwarp? Codenames?" He raised a brow. "We get codenames?" He seemed to perk up a bit. Codenames...like an alias.....he could have a secret identity! Well, he would if he was sneaky enough, which is kind of sad when you talk about a person who can be invisible not being sneaky enough. Plus, kinda easy to pick him out of a lineup.

Midnight looked up at him, "Yeah, most mutants get codenames. It is partly to protect our identity. I'm not exactly sure when the tradition started, but many mutants give themselves codenames before they ever align themselves with anyone. They feel that since they have powers, they can get codenames as well. Most people continue going by their birth names unless on mission. Others always go by their codenames. Some go by both. So if you don't have one yet, I suggest you pick one. Usually people pick them to portray an aspect of their powers. You might have heard of Ororo Monroe, a teacher here at Xavier's. She controls the weather and her codename is Storm. However, there has been some advice going around saying that you shouldn't make your codename have anything to do with your powers or skills, for that takes away the element of suprise in your powers and that is an advantage some would rather keep. So choose what you will, and try and be creative." She smiled, but not quite out of friendliness. The first name that had popped into her head for him was 'cucumber', but that would not be polite.

He nodded. "Well I hear Green Lantern and Jolly Green Giant are taken, so Imma have to sit and think on that one a bit." Huntin crossed his arms. He wasn't about to play down his greenness, but he didn't wanna ruin the total shock that comes with a guy appearing out of ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE.
Finally starting to come out of his shell a bit. It was nice on the outside. Didn't smell quite as bad.

"Baisically some sort of superhero complex..." The french boy said, gazing over at Huntin. He was taking notes silently in his head. This far, Midnight and Mindwarp seemed to be the only mutants with any real ability. Huntin had potential, but he had seen personally how skittish the green teen could be. And this Kaia girl... if he wasn't mistaken, she was the one who suggested they go /outside/ during their training in the Danger room. Lack of judgement and useful powers... bah.

The shell grew back a bit when Artemis looked to him, but he noted what the weatherman had to say. He began to ponder more deeply on this....Green Arrow---out.......invibility, teleporting, green...hmmm.....
"Woah..." he chuckled a bit and shook his head. Nodda. Nothing zip. Huntin would be good for a while.

Mindwarp eyed the group carefully. Something told him that they might have a little trouble getting along, although the green guy certainly did lighten the mood.
"What about Fade?" Mindwarp suggested. "Or the Green Machine?" He laughed a little at that one. "Or the Green Bandit." He laughed again. "But seriously, we need codenames so that on a mission we aren't shouting "Michael go get that girl." It sounds very unprofessional, and can become potentially dangerous if any anti-mutant fanatics seem to be listening. So, I propose that by this time tomorrow we all have codenames."

"How about just using the name Green?" Kaia suggested softly with a light shrug of her gray and white shoulders.

He smiled a bit at the suggestions. "Well, now I feel all special." He chuckled a bit. Huntin's face lightened a bit as he looked to Kaia with a soft smile. "Plain Green sounds good....Imma have to think on it so I don't get something too...." What was the word he was looking for? "Prissy. But Green and Fade are posibilities."
Huntin was really warming up to this whole superhero gig. Maybe he could sprout some courage and actually help people...or was that a leap of faith?

Now that the ice was broken Mindwarp decided to suggest the team do something else.
"I think we need to schedule a danger room session, see what we can do as a team. I'm thinking as soon as possible." He looked around the group, analyzing faces and seeing if everyone thought it was a good idea. He really wanted to see how they all acted in a time of crisis.

After that first session where Huntin very much freaked out and broke the rules, he felt like he could stand a chance to rectify his mistakes...and he barely knew what rectify meant.
"I'm good for any time...preferably not the morning though....." He hunched his shoulders a bit in bashfulness. "Just kinda hard for some of us to roll out of bed and get in the middle of firefight right now." And what about powers? "And could we maybe be allowed to use powers this time?" He felt kinda bad asking.

"It would be nice to try a more realistic simulation, especially sense I can't exactly turn my power off, it's more of an additional sense really." Kaia admitted in her calm gentle manor.

"Yeah and I still have to work on the whole 'not vanishing or poofing when I freak out' thing..." He blushed...well....as blushing as green can get. He was sure he wasn't the only mutant who's powers acted up but it wasn't exactly somehting he was proud of.

"My powers aren't particularly team friendly," Midnight warned. "But, I guess this wouldn't be the first time I worked with a team. Sounds like a good idea, Mike. What do you think we would be doing?" It had been a long time since she wore a uniform and the rules seemed to have changed a bit. No longer was there the mandatory obnoxious tight blue uniforms with yellow gloves. Midnight had found something much cooler, and thought she only admitted it to herself, sexier.

Mindwarp chuckled. "Don't worry, I'm not as crazy as Ellen, we'll all be using our powers. I suggest we split the team in half and have a mini battle against each other, this way we get a feel on how our powers compliment each other. For example, who can be our main powerhouses and who will be our more passive defensive players." He then turned his attention to Kaia, "This may seem unrealistic, but just a few weeks ago we had to fight the Brotherhood out on the front lawn. Believe me, mutant on mutant fighting helps...a lot. Oh and I almost forgot," he put his fingers to his temple and shut his eyes. In a minute his dorm room door flew open and a cardboard box floated out and down the hall. Once it was near enough, Mindwarp reached inside and pulled out a bunch of what appeared to be watches.
"I also enjoy using my powers for mundane purposes," he said eyeing Huntin. "Put these on," he tossed a watch to each of them, and then started to explain, "the watches will alert you when we have a team meeting, when you have a class, and when you should be someplace else. But, a new feature, is the costume botton. The Professor had some chick named Lillandra help him make them, something about solid light projections and telepathic influences. Basically," he said trying to make it sound simpler, "the watch will create a uniform that you find pleasing. For example," Mindwarp reached down and touched a botton on his watch. In an instant his outfit changed. Instead of wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt, he was now sporting black latex with a blue "X" across the chest, with blue boots, blue gloves and blue trim. A black cape also pillowed out from behind his back.
"I know that ever since "The Incredibles," the Professor has been warning against capes but...I just can't help myself." He smiled, admiring his uniform. "Go ahead, try it."

Midnight hadn't worn a uniform since a training session a while ago, and that was just the basic blue-and-yellow one that all the students had worn. Now, she wrapped the watch around her wrist, decided she hated watches, and pressed the button. It seemed that the uniform burst out of the watch and wrapped itself around her. It wasn't the simple skin-tight affairs that most students seemed to end up with. The top was a red X across both her chest and back. Black cloth filled in any spaces that might be left open. Her sleeves were long and almost billowy. The X ended before her waist, leaving a triangle of midriff showing. Then there was a short black skirt, billowy like the sleeves, red tights, and finally, black boots.
"Apparently, my mind has more taste than it likes to display normally," Midnight murmered, examining herself. She had the strange urge to show Eric. This costume emphasized her hourglass figure in a lovely way. She wondered if that was just a side-effect or if her mind had intended to do that. However, it was cool, and her powers allowed her not to do so much running around as other mutants might have to do. This uniform would work.
"I've heard things about the watches," she said, looking at it. It was bulky and had a red X over a black panel. What she had heard was that the alarm was more annoying than a younger sibling. Having been an only child, she supposed it must be very annoying.
"Thanks, Mike," she said. She couldn't figure out how having the uniform would be better than just fighting in her normal clothes, but it was probably institute policy.
Then she remembered the plans for training. Mutant vs. mutant. That wasn't something she really enjoyed. Actually, she had had very little training. Much more of the fighting she had done had been necessary and usually fighting for her life. Doing that, she wasn't afraid to kill. She might have to tone it down.

"Wow," Mike said, eyeing Midnight. "Now that's a costume." He looked at his own and felt almost embarressed. But, then again, he didn't sit in his room like Caity and design costumes all day. How many did she have now, like one million? The whole watch thing must have really thrown her for a loop...
"Anyway," he said snapping out of his thoughts. "Anyone else?"

Huntin chuckled. "Sucked into jet engine...NO capes." He always kept a soft spot for animated films.
Mutant versus mutant. That sounded both promising AND enjoyable; no joke. It would be cool to see how he could fair against others. "Yeah see the problem is...yeah I can't fight for a pile of beans," he murmured while looking at his watch and putting it around his wrist. His punches were about as effective as a chihuahua trying to bite a bulldozer into submission.
He had never worn a uniform before, unless the ones at his elementary school counted. Green teeshirt with blue jeans. Even he knew it looked tacky. So, the thing would become somehting he liked, eh? He held his breath a bit and pushed the button, a bit nervous that a Batman wannabe ansemble would replace his sloppy attire.
But no, something much more pleasing to Huntin enveloped him. A black, somewhat form-fitting teeshirt with a big green X on the chest hung on his body; it wasn't exactly a muscle shirt, but not baggy. His feet were adorned with black combat boots with green laces. His jeans were replaced with a pair of sort of stretchy black pants that were tucked into his boots, but it didn't actually look tacky. Around his knees were kneepad-esque attachments, both shiny and black with green Xs. His shins were covered with shiny black shingaurd-esque . He had fingerless goves that went up to the mid section of his upper arm, again, stretchy and black. The palm of his gloves were leathery, and his knucles had a sort of hard green plastic coating.
He blushed a bit. No one else could see it, but under his pants he had a very protective cup. "So um....does this change as our tastes change or like...will we have this same outfit now and forever?"
