"Agreed, but you owe me a duet one of these days," Iris laughed getting out of the truck and winking at Vas, before going off to find Raphael. She found him sitting in the back of the truck, she assumed they had already taken Mercedes somewhere because she hadn't heard a scream and a thump on the way back.
"Hey," she said sitting next to him.

"hey." Raphael said quietly. He was deep in thought and was trying to weigh his options in his mind.
Vas nodded before getting out of the truck to go attend to another of his duties.

Iris looked at him and noticed the thoughtfully expression in his eyes and didn't say anything, she merely placed her hand in his and leaned her head on his shoulder.

Raphael looked up, "I won't appologise for my actions, I own them and I feel it was right. I found out our guy doesn't know much, but he will tell us a few things. Other wise we can relax a little for the night."
Raphael stood up to get out of the truck.

"Why do you constantly think that I want you to apologize for what you do?" Iris asked standing up and looking at Raphael, "I'd think I'd know by now that you usually know what your doing and I respect your choices."

"I suppose so, so, shall we eat?" Raphael extended Iris a hand to help her down from the high truck.
He looked about and most of the people in the room paid little attention to him. After his display they were not willing to form any opinion about anything, and since Vas had told a few that she possessed the crux terminatus, they all minded thier own business, Raphael didn't give that out to anyone, you had to earn it.

Iris had to bite back the anger she was feeling, but took Raphael's hand not to be rude. At least that was something she kept with her since she'd grown up, her manners. Iris ran a hand through her hair, sighed and looked around at everyone.

Raphael knew he might be pushing the wrong buttons, but was not good at social confrontation when it involved emotions, being as he never really wanted them and killed most of his off to survive.
"I know my manner is gruff, but I do atleast still owe you dinner. Maybe after that you can take me up on that broom of yours again?"

Instantly all anger Iris was feeling melted away, she let out and humored sigh, "That sounds nice," she said warmly.

"Indeed, I learned something though, something, interesting." Raphael motioned in a grand sweeping gesture of his arm the passage way they should take.
"what shall we have for dinner?" Raphael walked even with Iris, not in front or behind her. It was his way of showing her that they were equals.

"Something not to fancy," Iris replied remember she hadn't eatin anything since the coffee shop, and was actually hungry, "What did you learn?" she questioned linking her arm with his in a show of interest and affection.

"well we will have to see what I have then." he mused for a moment before returning his attention to Iris' other question.
"the man is not the top rung of the ladder, I know because I have done work for those above him. He acted on his own, did not tell them he was putting the hit out on me. We have a great advantage in this, now he fears for his life, because he knows it is now worthless to me. That means we can get all we need out of him, and he will tell us because he wants to protect his life. When we are done with him we will let him go and let his bosses decide what to do with him." Raphael was not particularly pleased with the circumstance, but for different reasons than Iris would probably like.
"well, I think I can russle up some steak and potatoes."

Iris pursed her lips, "It's better that his superiors take care of him. I've heard that their powers are far worst then his," Iris said darkly.

In deed, now, I believe the kitchen is this way." Raphael turned left down a corridor with Iris in tow.

"So how excatly did this place come to be?" Iris asked, "It's too complicatedly built to be just something you stumbled onto."

"It was once a castle in the medievil ages, though when we came about it, it was simply a fe corner stones and a basement dungeon that had collapsed. I have had some money and was looking for a new orgaization head quarters, so we had the stone flown in from south american granite quarries, these people around you were the laborers and the equipment used was later dismantled and melted down to be used in the making of other vehicles. I had friends in higher places back then who owed me a few favors."
Raphael came to the kitchen and opened the door for her. He walked in behind her and found a table and two chairs to pull out from the wall. He put a few candles on them and then turned on the lights so that he could find the oven and refirdgerator to begin cooking.

"Fasinating, I'm surpised that you kept the look of the castle but also kept the technology and high tech defenses of today's time," Iris said sitting down on one of the kitchen chairs, "Do you need help?"

"Ohh I can manage my way around a kitchen, it may not be as gormet as the restaurant we left, but I promise you will not be dissapointed." Raphael found a pair of steaks and started the grill in the kitched while the put a few potatoes into the oven to bake. There was something missing though, something else, the meal was so plain. He found a laof of bread he would put in the oven later to brown. He put the steaks on and then came back out shortly.
"how do you prefer your steak?"

"Well done, please," Iris said slightly impressed at the care he was taking with the meal. But then an opened can of soup would have been fine too how hungry she was.

"that can be aranged." Raphael walked back into the kitchen to work on grilling the steaks and to throw the bread in to warm it. He brought that out right away after turning the steaks so they wouldn't dry out. He remembered some butter as well. He set the laof down on the table with a knife and the palet of butter. "One moment and I will have some plates, glasses and some water." Raphael dissapeared again to check the steaks and bring back the dishes.
