During the exchange, Christian was locked in a stunned silence. Hadn't had two girls trying to win his affection for a long time. It was almost weird be be so sought after.

"Now let's see let me pick up these papers for you," Iada said and began picking up the papers and snorted, "Blech I hated this stuff, I always copied off of Amelia," she said arranging the papers in a pile.

Christian nodded his head, "Thanks," he muttered, "So what's with you and Amelia pining for my affection?"

"It's kinda complicated," Iada said sinking onto the couch, she glanced back at the door and threw an energy barrier on it, "See we've been friends forever. We're like sisters, done everything together, which explains why we're both suck here."
"Okay it's like this, in the future we came from, your were Amelia's and mine teacher for our senior year at the academy. We both had crushes on you. But me you know looking like a fuzz ball never had the chance and she just stepped in. That's how Amelia is, she's really driven on what she wants. Well you two became a couple once she graduated and I was left in the cold."
"And that's when something happened, someone had decided to have the bright idea to make a Sentinal and it attacked downtown. Our version of you died in the attack protecting Amelia. She was heartbroken. But I doubt she realized how heartbroken I was, it's like that you know, always having to be second best, sucking your feelings inside yourself to protect a friendship."
"Well now I think Amelia's trying to backtrack, even if it's not the Christian we knew you're still a lot like him. It's not like she cares that maybe I'd like to get the chance to know you. You know, just to have one last shot," Iada finsihed looking at the floor.

Christian gave her an apologetic look, "I'm sorry, Iada. I didn't know." He pursed on side of his mouth. Than had an idea. "Would you like to go out and get something to eat with me later?"

Iada shook her head, "Not many people know, not even Amelia, I'm pretty good at putting on a sunshine face," she said looking up at Christian with her steady yellow eyes, "That would be nice, oh you're shirt's unbuttoned," she added buttoning his shirt and shrugging, "I'm a perfectionist like that, sorry."

Christian buttoned up his shirt, "Sorry," was all he said. He did feel guilty about snubbing Amelia, though. Even in the short time they had spent together, he felt an odd attraction to her, as if they had met before, or were more meant-to-be than he and Iada. No matter. That could wait til later. He had a 'roommate' to cheer up.
"Where do you wanna go?"

"Anywhere, well except chinese, some reason I really don't like the taste. Um, know any good pizza places around?" she asked running a hand through her curly brown hair, and it instantly frizzed up covering her face, "Hold on." she said wrestling with her hair.

Christian nodded, "No problem, I got all night. Amelia got me caught up with most of my grading, so I've got a while."

"Figures I'd get the frizziness of my mom's hair," Iada said bitterly pulling out a hair tie and tieing her hair back, "Yeah, she's like that," she shrugged, "So you wanna get going?"

"Okay well, ever ported before, cause you might get sick," Iada said taking Christian's hand and teleporting him down to the street below, "Cuts out having to go down all those stairs," she said as they reappeared.

Christian felt his stomach swirl, but managed to keep down his lunch, "Whooo, that was an experience all its own," he said slowly. "I know a club a mile or two down with some great wings," he suggested.

Iada wrinkled her nose, "That's more of Amelia's thing, I'm not reallt a partier," she said and started walking ignoring the frightened glances she got from people.

"Well, it's part club, and part resurant, so it isn't all party." He noticed the looks Iada was etting by the normal people on the street, "Ignore them, they don't know a good thing when they see it."

X-23 sniffed the air. Christian and the other girl were gone, disappeared suddenly. In a aparment complex full of mutants, it didn't seem that suprising. But what she wanted had now happened. The noisemakers had left. "Raphael," she nodded at him, and then again at the strange girl before walking down the hall. It had taken a long time for her to get used to calling Raphael anything other than Pravus, but he didn't seem to like Pravus, not after he got a new, clean job. X-23 unlocked the door to her own apartment and entered, slamming it shut behind her while she unbuttoned her camo shirt. The fatigues were dropped on the floor before she climbed into the shower, letting the hot water wash her sleepyness away.

Raphael smiled politely as x23 left. She had called him Raphael , he was not used to hearing that name from her, but he liked it. He never enjoyed being Pravus, the wicked, but the title has seemed to fit. Raphael wondered if she thought less of him for leaving that profession behind. Though, it seemed what he was doing now was more difficult. He had just picked through the wreckage of the craft that five of his old friends had died in. He looked over at Iris who appeared to be behind him still behind him.
"you ready to go?"

Iris sighed, "I'm really sorry Raphael," she said motioning to her robes, "Duty calls, a rain check alright, I'll make it up to you," she said giving a caring kiss to her teacher's cheek before she stepped back into a portal and disappeared.
Iada waved him off to cover her blush, "I'm use to it," she told him, "Plus not all of them can port here and there can they?"

Raphael was left alone standing in the hall again. It was a shame he had given up drinking, a day like this might drive him to it. However he had the rest of the week off now, he had been called in on he shuttle wreck as a favor, and to pay respects to his friends. Raphael was having a rough time, not exactly where he wanted to be. He was a monster on the inside, but he could keep it under control, regain some sense of his humanity, be normal. It had helped that he had gotten out of his terrible profession, but days like today brought the things he hated most about himself to the surface. He was a lonely man, but he was surrounded by familiar faces.
Maybe he could get x23 to go play paintball or something with him. Raphael was getting old now, and it was a rough time on him not being able to pass on his lineage. However it was probably best that there were not more of him around. He did try to spoil his students whenever he could though, like they were his own.

Christian smiled and nodded, "Exactly. As far as I'm concerned, they're the ones missing out."
