Skreaky skreaky skreay. Two gaurds wheeled Craig in on a metal device of sorts. His hands were locked down by his sides, palms towards his body so he couldn't try anything funny. A blindfold was placed on over his eyes so he couldn't use his signature power. His legs were shackled to the metal as well, his chest was restrained along with his waist area as well. They knew this man well. Craig was screaming, shouting obscenties left and right. TZZZZZZZZ! A single jolt from a stun gun and he went quiet, not knocked out, only growling and clenching his jaw.
They wheeled the man over near defense table, his assigned lawyer feeling safest sitting alone. The camera crews were getting set up. This would be a hell of a cover story. In actuality, this would pretty much be an open and shut case. Craig had already pleaded guilty of his own free will shortly after being arrested, it was all just a matter of how long they could keep the audience interested.

"You uncle fuckin sons uh bitches........." Craig growled at the camera crew, he could hear their equipment being set up. TZZZZZZ! Craig snarled and went silent again. A few of the guys were obviously seasoned veterans of the broadcasting endustry, and were hardly phased by being around a psychotic killer. A few of the younger ducklings, however, were visibly shaken.
It wouldn't be too long before the trial started. The bastard playing the state prosecuter was there, organizing his papers and drinking his fancy Italian coffee. Guards slowly lined the courtroom, one in every corner, a few along where the public could come watch the trial. Several around the jury bench and two by the witness stand.

Phoebe walked into the court house, her heels clicking on the marble floors. Her agent had told her about this trial and how it would be something she should go check out, seeing how it might affect other mutants around the world. She quietly walked into the court room and picked a seat about three rows behind the guy who was on trial. She sized him up and shook her head. How could someone kill that many people was beyond her. She was sure everyone at Xavier's would want to hear what happened so she made sure that she paid close attention.

Echo walked in the courtroom slowly closing the door behind him. He saw Phoebe sitting on a bench, and decided to make his way toward her. He sat down beside her and whispered, "I'm glad I'm not the only one from the mansion here. I just needed to see this guy put away."

The camera crew was all set up, and guards were still escorting people to seats. Everyone was being asked to turn off all cellular devices and beepers and remain absolutely silent during the trial to maintain it's accuracy and integrity. The judge was no where to be seen yet, but all was otherwise going as planned.
And there Craig still stood, bound and blindfolded to the cold metal, his anger growing. He was partially visible to those who were attending the trial, but only a small bit of his side. He was looking thin and pale and scraggily as ever.

"I was at the New York office for Vogue and my agent told me I should check it out. Because this trial will affect all of us sooner or later." She was glad she wasn't alone today. What she had heard about this guy scared her, but a friend was nice to have.

"Yeah, I've seen what he's done on the news and stuff, but I just wanted to come. I though I'd be the only person for Xavier's here, but hey, they haven't begun yet." Whispering was no problem for Echo. He could exert as much energy to scream, and no would could hear.

"I just hope they don't sling the rest of us into the same category as this guy," Phoebe whispered. The last thing she wanted was them to re-introduce the Mutant Registration Act. That would be a nightmare. "He scares me. Someone who thinks that he is important enough to take other's lives. It could have been anyone of us." Phoebe whispered.

"Yeah, but were well protected at the mansion. There is at least twenty of us there at a time." Echo grew a little impatient. When are they going to start this thing?

The cameras rolled. "All rise for the honorable Judge Schmidt." Everyone in the courtroom began to stand as a woman in about her mid fourties entered, notebook and folders in hand.
"COC.K-SUCKING WHO-" TZZZZ! Craig twitched, unable to get the last bit of his insult as Judge Schmidt took her seat, remaining as calm as she could.
"Mr. McGowan if you cannot remain silent unless spoken to, you will be silenced within legal limits or escorted out of the courtroom to only listen to your trial, do you understand me?" This was only a half truth, even the judge didn't want to have the star of the show leave the room. Silly Hollywood publicity. Craig grunted, his collection of tazer burns growing rapidly.

"Crazy,..." but Echo stopped to hear the rest of the introductions.

Phoebe jumped slightly when Craig began yelling, but took a few deep breaths to calm her heart when they silenced him. Such cruel ways people used to get others to do what they wanted. She studied the judge and looked over at Echo when he made a comment. She gave him a small smile and turned back to look at the front.

"Sir, please remain silent," a gaurd bent over to tell Echo. "Or I will have to remove you from the court."
"Court is now in session." Schmidt said. She began to go through the usual proceedings. McGowan versus the State of New York, yadda yadda. The first witness was called to the stand. She was a black woman in her thirties. The defense attorney got up and began questioning her. Craig let out a scream in the middle of the questioning, getting another TZZZZ from the tazer. The witness jumped a little and continued her sob story account of seeing her baby niece get killed. After the defense was done he sat down, feeling horrible for having to defend a monster like Craig. The persecution got up and began working. All signs of any part of any answer pointed to Craig's undoubtable and admitted guilt.

Sitting two seats down from Echo was a young man, his lips curled into a smirk. He wore a hat and sunglasses, looking mildly suspicious. His dark hair hung in his face, but it didn't bother him. In his left hand he clutched a six inch long pipe-like object.
/Craiiigg.../ The boy sent a message to Craig; only he could hear it. /Craig, what'd you do this time?/ His face showed no sign of his conversation, though his smirk slowly widened, /Got yourself caught, now didn't you? Now I have to come bail your ass out. You think you deserve that?/ He hissed in the blindfolded man's head.

The next witness was called, and Craig was about to shout once more. he then heard the voice. That boy in his head. Craig's body loosened and relaxed, but he clenched his jaw, thinking back to the boy. /Why you fuckin actin like you care about me? Bailin me out my ass, what do you want?/ Craig even thought with an accent.

Zeb snorted slightly, sneering. /Why do I care? Ha, I could care less, you sister-f.ucking bastard./ He said, cracking his knuckles with his thumb. /What do I want? Well, I want to kick your ass up and down this courtroom, but I also have to get you out of this damned place./

Craig's jaw loosened. He grinned, chuckling a little in the middle of a man's testimony. /Who's mind did ya dig in tuh find out Ah fucked Ellen, boy?/ He didn't care about getting his ass kicked. He was more than used to it. He just wanted to get out of the courthouse. Besides, he was more than able to fight with Zeb, but as a psychic the boy had a very upper hand in the matter.

Zeb chuckled again. /Who's mind? Yours. Didn't you notice?/ He said, grinning, /Besides, the security cameras caught you and her getting it on like two rabbits. Tell me, was she better?/ His thoughts were slightly snarling.

Craig raised a brow. /Y'all got security cameras in the bedrooms? Tha's kinda sick./ He snorted. /They got me so doped up Ah ain't got no idea who's in who's mind. And yeah, she was better. We rode on each otha for hours./ He sneered, the judge casting him a glance.
