KA-BOOOMM!!!!
The upper levels of the Government owned Mutant Registration Building exploded violently outwards. Glass rained down onto the streets from 15 stories up, showering the passersby with sharp shards, and fire bellowed fromt he newly formed holes in the walls.
From the fire and debris, a costumed vigilante fell to streetlevel, landing on his feet before rushing off into the crowd of awestruck onlookers.
Security dispatched from the first floor. They ran from the building, covering their heads to shield themselves from the glass, and charged after him.
"Inform police and medical," one guard yelled into his radio, "Mutant terrorist strike on the M.R.B. Suspect is an unknown attacker, likely mutant, highly dangerous. Wearing a dark blue and grey costume. Can't get a visual on any facial features!"
The masked man leapt into the air, and spun about at his pursuers. His large metal gauntlets began to glow with an orange energy, and he fired, destroying the street between them, and forcing the guards to a halt.
He landed, spun and continued on his way, pushing through the onlookers, "The name is Edenfire," he cried out, giving a sarcastic wave, "You'll be hearing more from me!"
Sirens began to close in on the area. And Edenfire ducked into an alleyway, he braced himself against the wall, peeking out as police and medical units sped past, en route to the building he just set aflame.
A cleasnsing flame, he decided. Too many forces were acting now, trying to take down the mutant populace from the inside, the outside, above and below.
Slowly slinking back into the alleyway's shadows, Edenfire sat down behind a dumpster, out of sight. He would be the Red Right Hand of mutantkind. Their Avenger.
"This generation With fire in our eyes Strong are the ties that bind us We don't need no alibis Nothing's gonna stand in our way Not Tonight" -Kick Axe, "Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way"
Serenity heard screamsw from many people and ran to see what was going on, A mutant had apperantly just busted up the Mutant Registration Facility. "Now that's my kinda action." She said quietly seeing all the damage left behind. She could then see the security force was chasing after the mutant who did it.
"Whats going on?" Yumiko said rubbing her head watching the comotion just then a big hunk of metal fell, and out of fear she put her hands up in front of her, the chunk then went flying in the opposite direction. "Oops." She said as she squinted watching it hit the ground, and moved along dissapearing into the masses of people.
"A mutant," one of the arriving officers cried out, pointing his finger at Yumiko, "Get her!"
Another officer appeared from the squad car, and together, they rushed the young girl. The first leapt towards her, attempting to tackle her before she had a chance to react...
...But Edenfire would have none of that. Sliding on the asphalt out of the alleyway, he held up his hand, and fired a burst of orange energy from his hand gauntlet. It slammed into the officer as he soared towards Yumiko, sending him crumpling to the ground, clutching his side where the impact knocked him from the air.
He pointed a finger accusingly at the other officer, who drew hiw gun.
"I told you my name! I work alone, I act alone. If another mutant is harmed today by your hand, things will only stand to get worse for you. Do you understand!?"
The officer looked towards Yumiko, his stare softening from a hardened and determined glare to a glint of understanding.
"...Lady, I don't know you, but if you ain't with him, you're with us. Can you help us clear out the streets around this block? With this much debris falling, we won't have enough hands to get it done quick enough..."
Edenfire nodded his head at the officer, and began to slowly step backwards, making his exit, "Thank you, officer. That's the kind of teamwork I'm trying to promote."
Looking back to Yumiko, he nodded his body in a Japanese bow, before continuing to back away.

"Sure, I guess." Yumiko answered. Giving a polite bow to Edenfire. She then walked over to the building that was still falling apart, the damage to it was extensive. Yumiko waved a hand in front of her stopping all the falling debris, and moved it into a clearing on the buildings front lawn, she continued to move the rubble, and other various items scattered around on the ground. "Everyone should leave now, there's nothing else to see." Yumi stated as she continued to move more, and more materials from were they landed to the pile she was developing.
Serenity was ready to blast a torrent of water at the policemen untill she saw him back down, and decided that it would be good to help clear the area. "You'll need someone to regulate all that water going everywere I can handle that job." She said standing by the building, and focussing hard she stopped the fire control system, and directing the flow into the other various piplines. She didn't really like helping but didn't see any reason why not to.

A golden light shimmered in the alleyway across the street from the collapsed building. The X-men away team had landed.
"Alright, guys, lets move," Zeb said, slipping a thin piece of black material over his face. He'd had a recent run in with the police. It would be more credible if he wasn't recognized. Turning, he exited the alleyway, scanning the streets for the vigilante Edenfire.

Edenfire continued ot back away for another few feet, before he turned fully, and began to spring away from the scene. He had spent entirely too much time here, and should have been long gone by now.
Suddenly, ahead of him, he eyed the familiar golden shimmer of the X-Men's Arcanus. The X-Men, or what was left of them at least, had arrived. He silently cursed himself for still being around, and held up his hand to them.
"X-Men, don't do anything rash... Take care of the building, and I'll be on my way, nice and peaceful like."

"I say we let him go. That facility kept us on record for personal, financial, and beneficial descrimination. There already is a social security index, no need for this building then now is there?" Mark said walking out to the street, paying no attention to Edenfire. "Not like anything he did wont help us in the end, mutant outbreak backlashes happen if one of us goes shopping in mutant form. Most of us have already been publicly cucified once or twice." Mark continued his slight rant for a bit, this was a butter subject for the usualy kind, and outgoing boy.
I can keep a secret... It's just that that makes me untrustworthy...

Casper had woken up from the aircraft landing. He quickly placed his hood up and prepared to follow TK and Zeb to fix the probelm. He didn't like the sounds of people screamingwhen he got outside. His robe was black as alwayfs for now. As hes chenged into his Ghost form he noticed someone hidden behind a building. He muttered to him self one word "Purge...".
Purge had reciently arrived to "take care" of the situation. He wore his battle clothing which had a cross on it. He had a machine gun with him ready to go and "cleanse" the area.

"Why do you need to confront him? I mean he did prevent the police officer from firing a bullet at me, which he would have realised was useless because it's metal, and well since I have magnetic powers I could immediatly stop it, but still his intent was to spare me. If you chose to fight I can't take part in that." Yumiko said, as always trying to find the most peaceful solution to a problem. "We should just tell the press, that we have nothing to do with him, and simply be on our way, there is no need to fight."
"Our reasons may be different, but I still agree with her. So what's it gonna be Arcanus? It looks like he doesn't want a fight with us. If anything he's freeing us from opression." Mark said walking over by Yumiko.

Arcanus smirked at the vigilante. "By attacking the government building," He said calmly, lifting his hand, "You have put every single mutant at risk. Do you realize this? They will now target us with greater force. We have gone from peaceful beings to killers. Telling the press we had nothing to do with this won't do anything. When one of us acts out, all of us are put at risk." He tilted his head, shrugging, "We have little choice. But since we seem to sympathize with your cause..." He glanced at his watch, "I'll give you a thirty second head start before I release the dogs. Twenty nine, twenty eight, twenty seven..."

"I suggest you look inwards, Zeb," Edenfire retorted. "It seems even your own teammates are torn on whether or not they believe your ideals or mine, although they really aren't that far apart. It's all a matter of mentality, and how fast you want things done... politics can be so tiresome."
He loked down to his wrist though it held no watch, "I have about... what? Fifteen seconds now? I should be leaving then..."
He began walking past them, but stopped and turned back to the X-Men, "Oh, and any of you who want to come with me, you're free to do so." He turned and kept moving.

"Well I like your style, what the heck why not?" Serenity said walking over beside Edenfire. "These people need to have their eyes opened, they are maknig mistakes, ones that should not be happening they want to see what a rogue mutant is really like? Then they'll get it, don't worry if enough of us take action, we can show them that thus far, they've had it easy." Oceanus tone was bitter, and to some extent filled with hatred.

Ghost was thinking about what Edenfire had said. He was beginning to feel doubts in the X Men's way of logic. But, the more he thought about it the more he was unsure. He wasn't good at making choices especially at this time of pressure. "Team conflicts are useless." mumbled Ghost. He didn't have enough time to think about everything for Purge was now on the offensive.
Purge had now appeared with his guns and started fireing shots are the "abominations". Behind him were a few of his men who were also firing shots.

Tabbitha Crossed her arms, "So not cool" Giving a look toward Ghost, Tabby's eyes widened "Ok, Now thats what I'm talking about." Boom-boom Filled her hand's with glowing spears, as she faced the oncoming fire. "Arcanus don't tell me were gonna let them go to?"

Zeb raised an eyebrow when the vigilante used his given name. "If you know who I am," he said, "Then you should know that it is unwise to provoke me." As bullets wizzed by his head, he turned, throwing up a shield to protect the kids. With a single swipe of his hand, he sent the guns flying into the air, shattering with the force of the blow, revealing his anger. He then turned back to the vigilante. "Who /are/ you?"

Eden' shrugged his shoulders and bowed graciously to the X-Men's leader, "I know all of you. Powers, Codenames, Real Names, Families, Birthdates... Except Nick there..." he pointed at Crosswise, shaking his finger up and down at him, "You are something of a mystery to me..."
Crosswise shrugged, smiling as if he was in on the secret, "I get that a lot. Thanks for trying, though, that means a lot to me."
Edenfire looked back to Zeb and tilted his head, "As for who I am, I'm a riddle wrapped in an enigma in a box full of mystery, topped with a bow made of the unknown. We'll leave it at that. It's better that way. For all of you, the X-Men, the Brotherhood and the Marauders."
The Registration building creaked loudly, as metal girders and beamwork inside its frame began to warp and bend due to the new pressure the explosion created.
Eden looked to it, then back to the X-Men, "Again, I suggest you do your job. Either that, or take me into custody. You can't do both successfully. What's your call?"

Zeb grit his teeth. He had an obligation to help the policemen get the people out safely, but he couldn't just let Edenfire go. He pursed his lips. He had such a limited team, and such limited choices.
He waved his hand, lifting Edenfire into the air and slamming him into a nearby wall. "I will track you down and destroy you," He hissed, then beckoned to his team before taking off. "I'll hold the building up. Sweep through and find all the civilians inside and get them up. Hurry, I don't know how long I can support it." Waving his hands and holding them up, the building began to shimmer with a gold light. "Go!"

"We are the light and you the darkness. We will Banish you all!" yelled Purge. He then used a hand signal to tell the men to get something. A few minuted later all the 4 men came back full of Bazookas like weapons. "Volley!" yelled Purge. At that moments all the men shot out their rockets. He then charges with his flamethrower and let out a stream of flame at the mutants. He wasn't going to let these muti's escape that easily
Ghost came up to Zeb and said "What shall I do?" paying no attention to the rockets and fire heading towards them.

Tabbitha Backed up "Ok This is a little more than I asked for and the two on one, so not cool" Tabby Ran past trying to evade oncoming fire as she headed for the building stopping short of entrance. "Nick, You said I could hide behind ya, so get your scrawny lil butt in their. I know im far from leadership, but can someone please do something about the rockets?" Inching to the door Tabby slowly slid in, Cautiously. "Hello, Alright This place is going down so who are we looking for?"
